Poland and the United Kingdom signed a defense deal yesterday. The so-called Northolt Treaty restated the nations’ commitment to “assist one another” should one be attacked, and it increased military exercises, weapons manufacturing and procurement, countermeasures to hybrid Russian threats and immigration cooperation. But the Bible warns that Europe is working to not only undermine but also conquer the UK.

  • Iran attacked four ships trying to transit the Strait of Hormuz late last night, and the United States retaliated by striking an Iranian ground control station near the city of Bandar Abbas and reportedly downed four Iranian drones. Iran claimed it attacked a U.S. base in retaliation.
  • The draft peace treaty with the U.S. includes a provision that Iran will manage maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz along with Oman, the other country bordering the strait, Iranian state media claimed yesterday. The U.S. dismissed the claim as a “complete fabrication.”
  • The U.S. is resuming escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz, the Wall Street Journal reported on May 26. U.S. military officials told the Journal this started with a Greek ship stuck in the Persian Gulf that was supposed to be en route to India. The U.S. government disputes the claim that escorts have resumed.

Europe will reserve most of its mobile satellite frequencies for local companies, the European Commission said yesterday. This is part of an ongoing effort by the European Union to reduce American companies’ access to Europe and rapidly develop European high-tech independence and threat capabilities.

Canadian Energy Minister Tim Hodgson announced yesterday that Canada will send 1.1 million tons of liquefied natural gas per year from British Columbia to Germany beginning in the early 2030s. The deal, which Hodgson hailed as an “exciting and important milestone,” is part of an effort by both countries to cut dependence on the United States and represents the emerging anti-American agenda.

On Tuesday, executives from Apple and Google warned against Canada’s Bill C-22, which they say could force tech companies to redesign products with secret surveillance capabilities. The bill would require technology platforms to store user data for up to one year and potentially create methods for intercepting encrypted private communications. If the bill becomes law, it will mark a further erosion of privacy and a further expansion of governmental power in Canada, which are curses for disobedience to God.

  • Iran threatened retaliation against the United States on Tuesday, claiming that Monday’s strikes against its assets were a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire and saying it will “leave no act of hostility unanswered.”
  • Iran could send its enriched uranium to China in a deal to formally end the war, media reports are claiming. China’s Foreign Ministry stated in a Tuesday press conference that China is “willing to continue to play a constructive role in the political and diplomatic resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue.”
  • Europe may not be able to meet its energy demands through the summer. European Union nations’ natural gas storage levels are currently at just over a third of full capacity, significantly lower than the usual 50 percent for this time of year. Executives at Equinor, a major Norwegian energy corporation, claimed Europe may be unable to sustain its natural gas needs if the Strait of Hormuz blockade continues for one to three more months.

Russia used its nuclear-capable Oreshnik ballistic missile for the third time ever to attack Kyiv on Sunday in a strike that involved about 90 missiles and 600 drones and killed at least four and wounded at least 83. The residence of Albania’s ambassador to Ukraine was also struck. This latest attack is further proof of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ruthlessness, which is shocking Europe into action.

Last Wednesday, Lithuania’s president and prime minister rushed to bunkers following a drone incursion. In recent weeks, Lithuania’s Baltic Sea neighbors, Estonia and Latvia, have also become targets, as has Finland, which advised citizens to go indoors, move to a room with solid walls, and await further government instructions. Russia has allegedly been transmitting false navigation signals to Ukrainian drones to redirect them into nato airspace. “This is a deliberate strategy from Russia trying to destabilize our democratic societies,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said yesterday at a joint press conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, standing alongside Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian heads of state. “When Baltic states are being tested, Europe as a whole is being tested.” Despite setbacks on the battlefield, Russia is advancing its technological capabilities and further frightening Europe.

German Economics Minister Katherina Reiche is visiting Beijing from Tuesday to Friday to strengthen Germany’s business ties with China. This news comes despite a call from France, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Spain to resist Chinese manipulation. Germany continues to push for closer ties with China despite opposition within Europe because they share a common enemy: the United States. The Bible prophesies that Germany and China will align their trade policies for a short period to economically besiege the U.S.

The Democratic Rally kept its first-place spot, with 27 percent of the vote in Sunday’s parliamentary election in Cyprus, a notable benchmark for the 2028 presidential election. The far-right National People’s Front took a record 11 percent of the vote, and two other new parties entered parliament, reflecting the nation’s increasing political fracturing. Democratic Rally is part of the conservative European People’s Party, which is led by German Member of European Parliament Manfred Weber and includes Germany’s powerful Christian Democratic Union and Christian Social Union. This is more evidence that Cyprus is a vassal state of Germany.

Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Africa’s Sahel region, Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin, announced on Monday that it had attacked and captured two barracks belonging to the military of Benin. The attacks, reportedly near Benin’s border with Burkina Faso, likely show the group’s intentions to expand its operations to more countries. To learn how these hostilities could fit into Bible prophecy, read “Is the Sahel About to Fall?

Yesterday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton defeated four-term Sen. John Cornyn in the Republican U.S. Senate primary runoff. President Donald Trump endorsed Paxton last week, calling him a “true maga warrior” and characterizing Cornyn as a fair-weather supporter. Paxton will face Democrat nominee James Talarico in the November 3 general elections. Cornyn joins Rep. Thomas Massie on the list of incumbents felled by Trump-backed challengers. However, analysts say Paxton is a much weaker candidate than Cornyn for the general election and will require significantly more spending by the Republican Party to avoid the Senate seat flipping to the Democratic Party.

Turkish riot police invaded the headquarters of the Republican People’s Party to subdue supporters of Özgür Özel. Özel led the party until last Thursday when a Turkish court ruled that his election had irregularities, and he was, therefore, illegitimate. Such a direct intervention by the courts, which are heavily influenced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is unprecedented, but this is the natural extension of Erdoğan’s heavy-handed regime.

The Jerusalem Post reported on May 25 that a confidential audit by the German government shows that it funded Islamic Relief Germany, a front organization for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The government apparently has known that the group was connected to these terrorist groups since 2014, but only ceased funding in 2019. Germany presents itself as one of Israel’s closest partners. Revelations like this suggest it isn’t the friend of Israel that it pretends to be.

Approximately 200,000 protesters are in Belgrade demanding an end to the rule of President Aleksandar Vučić, who has been in power since 2017. This is a massive escalation of protests that started in 2024, and some estimate this to be the largest in Serbia since the fall of President Slobodan Milošević in 2000. The Balkans are a crossroads of the world where Germany and Russia have fought for influence for decades. The current protests could factor into the maneuvers of one or both.

On Friday, the European Union and Mexico signed a free-trade agreement covering nearly all goods, expanding a 2000 trade pact that cut tariffs on industrial goods. The new agreement could boost Mexican exports to the EU by roughly 50 percent by 2030. European Council President Antonio Costa hailed the agreement as “a true geopolitical statement.” The signing of this trade deal comes as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement is under negotiation and shows Mexico’s desire and ability to pivot from the U.S. in favor of Europe.

It’s a myth that Germany’s Constitutional Court, founded in 1951, was largely “unburdened” by Germany’s Nazi past, Tagesschau reported on Friday, based on a study commissioned by the court. Three of the court’s first 24 judges were former members of the Nazi Party and five were members of the SA “brownshirts.” Willi Geiger, one of the court’s first judges, was actively involved in prosecuting cases for the Nazi regime. The court’s first president, Hermann Höpker-Aschoff, worked for an institution that played a role in stealing from territories occupied by the Third Reich. These facts further indicate that Germany never denazified itself and that the current holders of power are capable of carrying out a similarly sinister agenda.

Janez Jansa was elected to his fourth term as prime minister by Slovenia’s parliament on Friday after liberal Robert Golob failed to form a government. The Catholic politician called the win an “important step towards a more successful and freer Slovenia.” However, Jansa has a reputation for cracking down on press freedom and has been compared to former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The return of a right-wing Catholic leader to this central European country is just a small foretaste of the political system that will soon engulf Europe.

The Kyiv Independent published an article on Thursday with interviews of several Estonians in the capital city of Tallinn regarding a potential Russian invasion. The general consensus was that the U.S. cannot be trusted to come to their defense, while Europe can. Egert Heintare stated, “I think the French or the Germans will come. I’m not counting on the United States.” Europeans are losing their trust in America to defend them, which will lead to the fracturing of nato and contribute to the formation of a European army.

The leaders of France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom called on Israel to stop settlement expansions in the West Bank in a joint statement published Friday. This is most significant coming from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni because of their vocal support for Israel in its war on terror. Bible prophecy and history show that the world’s, and especially Europe’s, growing anti-Semitism is an incredibly ominous trend.

The U.S. paused a $14 billion arms sale to Taiwan because of the war in Iran, Hung Cao, acting secretary of the U.S. Navy, announced Thursday. Cao said the U.S. must ensure it retains the munitions needed to fight Iran. But many noted that the decision came after President Donald Trump’s visit with Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping. Originally, the U.S. said it would not consult China about the arms deal, but Trump said before his meeting with Xi that they would indeed discuss the sale. Based on Bible prophecy, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry has warned that China will succeed in conquering Taiwan “for one reason: because of a pitifully weak-willed America.”

“Germany is accepting its leadership responsibility,” German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated yesterday before meeting other nato foreign ministers in Sweden. His goal is a “new burden-sharing arrangement that reflects Germany’s and Europe’s economic and military potential.” To give Germany a “greater role,” he called for more “intensive defense cooperation.” nato was founded, in part, to “keep the Germans down,” as one early British official characterized it. But now, a new German war machine is rising within it.

Germany’s Federal Association of Departments for Research and Information on Anti-Semitism reported on Wednesday that the capital city, Berlin, recorded 2,197 anti-Semitic incidents last year. Although that marks a 13 percent decline from the previous year, it is twice the levels seen before the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist massacre. In the state of Hesse, 1,099 incidents were recorded last year, an increase of 18 percent from 2024 and almost six times the pre-October 7 level. According to that report, these incidents “point to a societal climate in which anti-Semitic statements and actions are possible—and too often go unchallenged.” Hesse’s anti-Semitism commissioner, Uwe Becker, stated that “the threat to Jewish life is worse than at any time since the Holocaust.” Bible prophecy warns that Germany will deepen its relationship with the Jewish nation—then betray it and launch a new Holocaust.

Italy will buy six A330 tanker aircraft valued at $1.6 billion from Airbus, the European Union announced on Tuesday, a switch from the past 15 years of purchasing tankers made by American company Boeing. Bible prophecy warns that Europe’s growing military independence is an ominous sign for the world.

Turkey’s main opposition leader was ousted from office yesterday. A Turkish court deemed the 2023 party congress that elected Ozgur Ozel illegitimate, resulting in a new party chairman, Kemal Kilicdaroğlu, who lost to Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan in 2023. This further solidifies Erdoğan’s one-man rule over Turkey, a trend significant to end-time Bible prophecy.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will visit France as an invited guest to the June 15–17 G-7 summit, Reuters reported yesterday. A Syrian official said Sharaa will probably discuss Syria’s potential as a “strategic hub for supply chains” following Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz. A prophecy in Psalm 83 says Syria will align with Europe so that “the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” The G-7 summit is a sign of a strengthening relationship that will fulfill this prophecy.
