The UN resumed sanctions on Iran on Saturday in response to its advancements in nuclear technology. These sanctions include an arms embargo, restrictions on uranium enrichment, and a ban on activities involving ballistic missiles. Iran said this decision would be met with a “harsh response.” The United Nations has been notoriously soft on Iran in recent decades. Considering that Iran has continued to pursue its nuclear ambitions even after direct military attacks on its nuclear sites by Israel and the U.S. this past summer, we can be certain that this measure won’t deter a nuclear Iran.

The leaders of Finland and Norway spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone yesterday to discuss ending the Ukraine war. Finnish President Alexander Stubb called the discussion “frank and substantive.” This follows the two leaders’ meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff in Oslo last week. Other European leaders criticized the call, which had not been coordinated with them. But Russia has probably already done a behind-the-scenes deal with Germany. High fuel prices are piling pressure on Europe to come to a public deal. Watch for Germany to lead Europe into Russia’s camp. For more, read “Germany vs. Russia—Behind the Headlines.”

Russia and China are expanding their military space capabilities, the United States Defense Intelligence Agency warned Monday in its latest assessment of threats to American assets in space. The third edition of “Challenges to Security in Space” calls attention to the “formidable spectrum of offensive capabilities” the two nations are developing to “degrade or destroy space services of other countries.” These include kinetic antisatellite weapons, directed-energy systems, electronic warfare tools and cyberweapons. The Trumpet has long sounded the alarm about the danger of America’s reliance—specifically that of its military—on computer technologies that are highly vulnerable to attack.

Russian authorities have transferred materials and technical documents related to the development and testing of submarines to China, the Center for Advanced Defense Studies stated in an October 22 report. The transfers occurred from August 2015 through at least April 2023 and included materials covering propulsion technologies, hull design, noise reduction, weapons management systems and automated command. Russia and China are building an alliance that biblical prophecy says will transform the world.

Europe is in an “era of darkness,” Finnish President Alexander Stubb said in his address to the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, yesterday. This is as the U.S. and China compete and Europe faces threats from Russia, which will cause it to make drastic changes—and enter a new dark age.

At a homeless shelter in the infamous Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles, hundreds of ballots were found piled in an open hallway, the California Post reported yesterday. The latest discovery is part of a bigger investigation into thousands of voter registrations tied to homeless shelters and service providers. One of the interviewed women said people were paid to fill out and sign voter registration forms. The ongoing, undeterred manipulation of U.S. elections deprives citizens of their only means of controlling their government.

Chinese spy planes, drones and warships are ranging near Japan’s southwestern islands, and Russian reconnaissance planes are prowling the Sea of Japan as Japanese and American forces conduct major military exercises in the region, Geopolitiki reported today. “Keen Sword 27,” which began October 19 and runs through October 29, involves approximately 45,000 Japanese personnel and 12,000 U.S. troops. The Chinese and Russian activity comes amid a broader pattern of military cooperation between the two near Japan, including joint bomber flights and naval operations. Tensions are worsening between Asia’s most powerful nations, but biblical prophecy shows that they will ultimately set aside their differences and unite.

Nine were killed and dozens injured in a terror attack in Jordan on Friday. Gunmen opened fire at a funeral in a Greek Orthodox Church near the Dead Sea. Jordanian authorities have branded this a case of terrorism but have not released information on the suspects or their allegiance.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan said Russia was behind this morning’s drone strike on a cargo ship just beyond Romania’s territorial waters. The strike sank the vessel, after which rescue teams pulled nine crewmen to safety, while three remain unaccounted for and one was found dead. The strike marks at least the seventh drone attack on commercial vessels in waters off nato member states bordering the Black Sea in recent weeks, resulting in more than 30 crewmen being killed or reported missing. Although responsibility for the strikes has not been formally established, they occurred in areas where Russia operates and fit a broader pattern of Russian efforts to undermine nato.

The far-right Alternative für Deutschland, which has become the most popular political party in Germany, announced yesterday that a “small number of e-mail inboxes,” were hacked and “copied without authorization” last month. On Monday, an anonymous group published what it claims are 421,000 AfD emails from 10 accounts, including some from current party coleader Alice Wiedel. Of the messages, 10,243 are categorized as racist or xenophobic. Some were also labeled anti-Semitic.

The Italian government announced yesterday that it will send 500 troops to Milan in response to ongoing riots. The government also announced stronger consequences for rioting, including parental responsibility to pay for damage caused by their children. France announced yesterday that it will also deploy troops against its ongoing mass riots.

The Japan Self-Defense Forces deployed new Type-25 land-to-ship missiles to the nation’s westernmost inhabited island on Monday, placing parts of mainland China within the missile’s reported 620-mile range. The deployment came during the biennial “Keen Sword” exercises, one of the largest recurring Japan-U.S. joint military drills—this iteration of which involves approximately 45,000 Japanese and 12,000 American personnel, along with forces from partner nations simulating a defense of Taiwan and Japan’s southwestern islands against a long-threatened and increasingly powerful potential Chinese invasion. The deployment reflects Japan’s broader shift toward long-range strike capabilities, moving beyond its post-World War ii defense doctrine limited to territorial defense. Watch for Japan to continue its biblically prophesied march toward military normalization—and for Japan and China eventually to set aside their mutual hostility and join forces.

Germany summoned Iran’s ambassador yesterday after two men were charged Thursday for plotting to assassinate the presidents of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and the German-Israeli Society. One of the two was reportedly receiving orders from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This is the latest example of Iran pushing as far as it can within German society. Bible prophecy describes this “push” and shows that it will ultimately provoke a whirlwind.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping are building a “new Arctic axis,” the Asia Times noted on Saturday. The two nations are deepening cooperation in shipbuilding, maritime education and research to help develop the Northern Sea Route and connecting corridors. Direct container services are also opening between Shanghai’s Yangshan port and Russian ports. The Arctic maritime partnership is a “blue driving force” in Russia-China relations, according to a statement from the Chinese. The emerging Arctic axis marks another step toward the rise of a biblically prophesied Russia-China bloc intent on reshaping global trade and ending American economic and military dominance.

Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday on Truth Social. Israel holds national elections on October 27, and Prime Minister Netanyahu and his coalition have been struggling in polls over the past year. President Trump had refused to endorse Netanyahu for months now, despite being put on the spot by media and working with him to prosecute the war against Iran.

Russia and India began the “Indra 2026” joint military drills on Wednesday, deploying forces across Russia’s Ural region and Far East, with naval drills in the Sea of Japan. Running through October 23, the exercises will train troops in tactical maneuvers, command and control, artillery strikes against air and sea targets, and operations to retake vessels seized by terrorists. The war games underscore the deepening military partnership between Russia and India as the two powers continue laying the groundwork for a prophesied alliance.

Iran sunk two cargo ships from the United Arab Emirates in the Strait of Hormuz around October 13-14. This constitutes a major setback for the United States Navy, which has been attempting to protect civilian ships in the strait since early May. The last time Iranian attacks sunk ships was in early March. Iran’s decision and ability to reescalate show that it remains willing to push, violently. In fact, the worst is yet to come.

The Ukrainian special forces leader accused of blowing up sections of the Nord Stream pipelines in 2022 went to trial for war crimes in Hamburg, Germany, yesterday. The situation highlights the fact that although Germany officially supported Ukraine in its defense against an ongoing Russian invasion, it also continued to import large amounts of gas through these pipelines, funding Russia’s war machine, up until 2022. The defendant’s attorneys denied that he participated in the bombings, with one, Nicola Canestrini, adding: “Germany showed the world in Nuremberg what war crime is and who should be charged with it. Nord Stream was … a weapon of Russia … a financial, military and political weapon.” The complexity and future of Germany’s relationship with Russia can be understood only through Bible prophecy.

Seven-year-olds are on disability benefits in England and Wales. In fact, they outnumber the 50-year-olds on disability, according to government data analyzed by the Telegraph. A total of 69,799 7-year-olds are now receiving benefits, compared to 66,670 50-year-olds. The “health issues” these children are claiming benefits for are mostly learning difficulties, adhd or behavioral issues. Benefits currently cost Britain $440 billion a year, and children who start on benefits often stay on benefits for the rest of their lives. The largest cost is the sheer waste of human potential, as thousands spend their lives as wards of the state instead of experiencing the benefits and joy of accomplishment.

Drones hit two merchant vessels just outside of Bulgaria’s territorial waters in the Black Sea yesterday, sinking one and leaving 11 people unaccounted for. A similar strike occurred on two other commercial ships in the same region on October 6, sinking one and leaving 10 crew members missing. Though culpability has not been established, the strikes occurred in an area Russia operates and align with its broader efforts to push against nato.

A September 13–15 Politico poll of 2,066 respondents in Spain indicates that 58 percent of the population expects an “armed conflict” with Morocco over the disputed cities of Ceuta and Melilla to occur within the next 10 years. Those cities, owned by Spain but located in North Africa, are tense, especially after roughly 70,000 immigrants entered Spain through Ceuta at the end of July. Daniel 11 and other Bible prophecies reveal that Spain will be part of a Catholic European superpower that will wage war against several Islamic nations in North Africa and the Middle East.

Agents from Homeland Security Investigations raided Rep. Ilhan Omar’s residence in Washington, D.C., on Monday. Under a court-approved warrant, criminal investigators are looking into a long-running accusation that the Minnesota Democrat congresswoman’s father committed fraud when moving the family to the United States from Somalia.

China is supplying Russia with electronic components that will enable it to mass-produce satellites for its Rassvet constellation, Kyodo News reported yesterday. Currently, communication limitations largely confine Russian drone operations to areas near the front lines. But Rassvet is expected to enable Russian operators to control drones over much greater distances, extending their reach and increasing their lethality against Ukrainian targets. As Russia and China deepen their military cooperation, they are building an alliance that biblical prophecy says will reshape the geopolitical landscape.

Nato Supreme Allied Commander of Europe Alexus Grynkewich stated yesterday at the Warsaw Security Forum, “Ultimately, it will be a political decision” as to whether American troops would help Europe fight off a Russian attack. This deepens doubts regarding American promises to protect Europe and will contribute to the rise of a European superpower, led by Germany, as described in the Bible.

Three German Air Force Tornado fighter jets will participate in nato’s “Steadfast Noon” military exercises in Italy, which begin today. The annual two-week exercise, which will likely involve around 70 aircraft and 2,000 personnel from 17 nations, tests and refines nuclear deterrence capabilities. Training German planes to use such weapons is a deadly mistake, as both history and Bible prophecy warn.

Fears are growing that Ethiopia’s renewed civil war will become a wider conflict in the Red Sea region. Last week, geo-located footage showed Eritrean troops in the Tigray region, and Ethiopia began targeting the troops with drone strikes. This news came just after an October 4 meeting of leaders from Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia, in which these nations agreed in their first-ever four-way meeting to coordinate a military response should the war progress to Eritrea’s border. Conflict monitors have reported Ethiopian troops probing Eritrean territory. In addition to the tension in a region near one of the world’s most important waterways, this conflict is also giving Egypt the opportunity to exert more leadership over Ethiopia, as described in specific Bible prophecies.
