Classified Documents Discovered at Biden Office

Joe Biden’s lawyers announced on Monday that they had discovered classified documents at his think tank, the Penn Biden Center. There were about 10 of them, some marked top secret. The documents were from his tenure as vice president, but Biden kept them throughout the time that he was a private citizen. According to cbs News, his lawyers found the documents on November 2, three months after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

When the Trump documents were recovered, Biden said, “How could that possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible? Totally irresponsible.” But although the double standards are clear, the media are afraid to criticize him.

• It took the National Archives less than two years to report missing documents from the Trump era, but they conveniently didn’t notice any missing documents from the Obama administration, more than six years ago.
• Trump’s home was raided by federal agents and wild stories were spun about him possessing nuclear secrets. Biden’s story has been handled by his lawyers, at his timing and convenience, with the media making several excuses for him.
• President Trump had declasssification authority. The vice president can only declassify items that he has labeled as classified, which was not the case with these particular documents.

“When is the fbi going to raid the many homes of Joe Biden, perhaps even the White House?” Trump asked in a statement. “These documents were definitely not declassified.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland had no choice but to launch an investigation into these documents. But he only did so reluctantly, after the midterm elections, an entire month after the discovery, and in a way most convenient for Joe Biden. The nature of the news coverage shows how reluctant the Department of Justice and the media are to treat Biden as they did Trump. The radical left’s hypocrisy is on full display.

All roads lead to Barack Obama. It is his influence over Washington agencies that is dictating the way these revelations are handled.
