Marxism Is Dividing America’s Military

The firing of Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier could indicate that the fight between Marxists and supporters of constitutional freedom is about to intensify.

A new book about the Marxist takeover of the United States military reached the top spot on Amazon’s bestseller list after its author, Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, was relieved of his command for promoting it. Colonel Lohmeier was the commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base until he appeared on a podcast to talk about his self-published book, Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military. He was then fired by Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting over a “loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead.”

What did Colonel Lohmeier say that was so controversial?

During his May 14 appearance on the Information Operation podcast with host L. Todd Wood, Colonel Lohmeier claimed that new military diversity training programs were steeped in Marxism and critical race theory. “Our diversity, inclusion and equity industry and the trainings we’re receiving in the military via that industry are rooted in critical race theory, which is rooted in Marxism,” he said before recounting how he was given a training manual that cited the January 6 Capitol Hill protests as an example of extremism, while ignoring the Black Lives Matter riots and destruction of property that took place following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer last year.

Wood joked with Colonel Lohmeier that “you’ll probably be removed after this interview goes live.” Colonel Lohmeier only laughed and said, “That would be a hefty move” considering the thousands of books on Communism and Marxism that are already available at Maxwell Air Force Base.

A number of people were surprised when General Whiting actually fired Colonel Lohmeier, but it seems that Colonel Lohmeier may only be the beginning of a much larger military purge. Defense Secretary Lloyd James Austin has hired critical race theorist Bishop Garrison as the Pentagon’s new extremism czar, tasked with purging extremists from the military. His Countering Extremism Working Group will now be monitoring the Internet search histories and social media posts of military personnel, looking for evidence of “extremist behavior.” And to circumvent First Amendment restrictions on government monitoring, Garrison’s group will be using a private surveillance firm (the frontrunner is Babel Street) to “continuously” trawl through the social media accounts of troops.

The government has already arrested at least 45 current or former military members connected to the Capitol Hill protests, but Garrison is likely going after a lot more people than those who participated in those rallies. He supports the New York Times’ 1619 Project and has made Twitter posts alleging that only racists, misogynists and extremists support President Donald Trump. So his definition of what constitutes “extremist” behavior likely includes anyone who supports Trump, believes in the U.S. Constitution, opposes critical race theory, or thinks the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

Colonel Lohmeier probably isn’t the first officer to be fired for speaking against Marxism, and he certainly won’t be the last. Joe Biden’s boss, Barack Obama, purged 200 generals from the military during his first five years in office. Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely told Investor’s Business Daily in 2013 that Obama was “intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged.” The Biden administration will likely be even more radical in its effort to purge America’s armed forces of constitutional conservatives and remake it in the image of the Democratic Party.

More than 120 retired American generals and admirals published an open letter to the Biden administration on May 10, warning, “We are in a fight for our survival as a constitutional republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of socialism and Marxism versus supporters of constitutional freedom and liberty.” From the Communist Party in China to illegal immigration of the U.S.-Mexico border, these officers detailed many ways the administration is tearing down America. They then warned that “our country has taken a hard left turn toward socialism and a Marxist form of tyrannical government which must be countered now by electing congressional and presidential candidates who will always act to defend our constitutional republic. The survival of our nation and its cherished freedoms, liberty, and historic values are at stake.”

Colonel Lohmeier was still an active member of the U.S. military until four days after this letter was published. But now that he has been kicked out of the military for opposing communism, he is free to join the ranks of the former generals, admirals and colonels warning the American people that Marxist radicals have hijacked their constitutional republic.

The Biden administration’s long-term plan seems to be to purge the military of Trump supporters and transform it into a “Praetorian Guard” used to protect Washington elites from the American people. But the short-term consequence of their strategy is likely to be division and civil war. As the Biden administration kicks the conservatives out of the military, the military will become more Marxist, but the pool of trained officers that militia groups can recruit will also grow.

At a time when divisions in the U.S. are worse than any point since the Civil War, disunity among the troops is a strategic vulnerability. What would America look like if its military split into hostile factions?

In his article “What Will Happen After Trump Regains Power,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explained that President Trump was the legitimate winner of the 2020 presidential election. He also explained that Bible prophecy says President Trump will return to power, but “the indication is that regaining office may take considerable work. Donald Trump will have to fight for it. It doesn’t have to be military action, but it certainly could. President Trump could also lead some states to secede from the union. That would lead to some kind of warfare.”

This astonishing prediction is based on 2 Kings 14:26-28, which read, “For the Lord saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. And the Lord said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash. Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?”

Mr. Flurry has explained that President Trump is an end-time type of King Jeroboam ii. God used President Trump to temporarily save America from the radical Marxist forces seeking to destroy it, but now he is going to have to fight and war to recover the office stolen from him during the 2020 presidential election. The fact that Colonel Lohmeier and more than 120 retired American generals and admirals are sounding the alarm about the Biden administration could be an indicator that the fight between Marxists and supporters of constitutional freedom is about to intensify.
