U.S., UK—Blind Eagle, Silly Dove

America seeks to convince Britain to put its head in the fire.

Talk about the blind leading the blind. The U.S. ambassador to Britain, Louis Susman, has called for the British government to deliberately work against the will of the people in relation to continuing EU membership.

In the face of polls indicating that 70 percent of Britons want out of the European Union, Susman has urged the British parliament to ensure that Britain remains firmly attached to what whistle-blowers for years have maintained is a most corrupt and anti-democratic imperialist institution.

Speaking to a group of British meps at a private meeting in the European Parliament on Tuesday, Susman declared, “I want to stress that the UK needs to remain in the EU. The U.S. does not want to see Britain’s role in the EU diminished in any way. The message I want to convey today is that we want to see a stronger EU, but also a stronger British participation within the EU. … [L]et’s be clear: All key issues must run through Europe” (TheParliament.com, January 26).

To figure just which planet Susman is operating from, he declared of the once “special relationship” shared by the U.S. and Britain, that it was “stronger than ever” (ibid.).

With America’s current president having, the instant he gained access to the Oval Office, returned to Britain the bust of Churchill previously on display in the Oval Office, having insulted ex-Prime Minister Brown with shoddy treatment on his first visit to the president, then both he and the first lady having broken protocol in their manner of over familiarity with the Queen, one would hardly think that the special relationship was under good repair.

Though Ambassador Susman’s comments may well represent Washington’s current policy regarding the EU-British relationship, it is highly anti-democratic in its portent. This is especially the case given that it comes at a time when Britain’s parliament is considering a bill ostensibly designed to limit further incursions on what little may be left of British national sovereignty. In fact, a major issue with this current bill is the lobby to have a clause inserted to allow for an EU opt-out referendum.

The ambassador’s appeal, which we must assume is directed from the White House, also comes at a time when the Daily Express is running a campaign with huge public support asking the British government to bail out of the EU.

In the context, it would be interesting if the shoe was on the other foot—i.e., if it happened to be a British ambassador inveigling Washington to hand over American national sovereignty to a foreign power!

How about China? At least it may have a reasonable excuse for demanding that it take over America, seeing as the dollar is so beholden to the yuan. One newspaper cartoonist even referred to America as China’s “favorite colony”!

One gets the sense that with Washington’s overtures to the British government, lobbying it to remain firmly attached to the European Union, it is a case of one government, blinded to the reality of the true nature of the imperialist EU, seeking to lead another already patently blind British government, to so do.

How the blind lead the blind! Yet this is but a case of a once great superpower, now in rapid decline, leading a nation the Bible terms a “silly dove” into the maw of national destruction.

Truly, as Jesus Christ declared, “Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?” (Luke 6:39). And that is exactly what your Bible prophesies is happening in this instance. For the blinded American eagle and the silly British dove (Hosea 7:11), oblivious to the danger ahead, will both ultimately fall victim to the continental superpower that the EU is destined to become. So declare the unbreakable prophecies of your Bible.
