Trump: ‘Epidemic of Violence Must End, Immediately!’—but How?
Good morning!
Today we look at the larger questions posed by two horrific shootings in America over the weekend. We are in the midst of the biblical fall holy day season, which puts our minds on the solutions to such shocking events. So you might expect to hear more about those God-ordained answers over the next couple of weeks.
Trump: “epidemic of violence must end, immediately!”—but how? Another appalling mass shooting yesterday: A man rammed a vehicle into a Mormon church in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and fired several rounds, killing four people and setting the building afire.
-
This came after a mass shooting the day before, when a gunman opened fire at a crowded waterfront bar from a boat in Southport, North Carolina, killing three.
After yesterday’s attack, President Trump wrote on Truth Social, “This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America. … This epidemic of violence in our country must end, immediately!”
Agreed. After recent prominent killings—including the murders of Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk and attacks on ICE personnel—distress over such barbaric events and yearning for their end is well founded. The question is, how? The perpetrators of such horrific acts have diseased thinking that saturates society:
- America’s founding has been vilified and its founders branded as racists. Thus, the belief that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, including life, is no longer self-evident.
- The Bible has been cast aside, including its laws about right conduct, its definition of good and evil, and its revelation about the sanctity of human life. We have replaced the weightier matters of biblical law—judgment, mercy, faith, love—with phony virtues of our own devising: tolerance, relativism, self-expression, self-fulfillment.
- The family has been dismantled and the roles of father and mother redefined. Thus, the institution that should create stable, upright citizens is failing. Parents do not educate children; the state is expected to.
- The God who created us and authored the moral laws we must obey has been rejected. Thus, we resist honorable authority, empower the villainous, forgo divine favor and protection, and make ourselves prey to demonic spiritual influences.
The epidemic of violence must end—but unless the true causes, decades in the making, are addressed, it will not. The Bible prophesies that, sadly, it will grow worse as America suffers the curses—both natural and divinely imposed—of disobedience to our Creator. Grasp the larger spiritual dimension at play, and see where this trend is leading, by reading the latter chapters of The United States and Britain in Prophecy.
Thankfully, God is enacting a plan to bring the epidemic of violence—not just in America but worldwide—to an end.
Moldova votes: We choose Europe: Observers worldwide were closely watching Moldova’s parliamentary elections yesterday. Eastern Europe was once thought of as a backwater; now it is a battleground between Russia and the West. Sunday’s vote was a crucial fork in the road for Moldova. Moldova chose Europe.
- Voters elected the pro-EU Party of Action and Solidarity (pas) with 50.3 percent of the vote, compared to the pro-Russia Patriotic Electoral Bloc, which won 24.2 percent.
- The rest of the votes went to smaller parties that are neither as pro-EU or as pro-Russia as these two main groups.
- Once votes for parties who failed to meet the minimum threshold to enter Parliament are considered, the pas received 55 out of 101 seats.
Electoral interference: Before the vote, both sides accused the other of trying to steal the election.
- Russia was blamed for spreading fake news, buying votes, and calling in fake bomb threats in foreign polling stations.
- Meanwhile EU nations worked hard to allow Moldovans living in the west (and thus overwhelmingly pro-EU) to vote, with over 300 polling stations opened abroad.
- Two pro-Russia parties were barred from standing over accusations of campaign finance violations.
Has the EU won? Not really. Russia controls the Moldovan breakaway region of Transnistria, which voted in 2006 to join Russia. This gives it a lot of leverage.
In 2008, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:
I believe that Germany’s leaders may have already agreed to a deal with Russia, a modern Hitler-Stalin pact where Germany and Russia divide countries and assets between themselves. This agreement would allow each to turn its sights on other targets. Any such deal that may have been struck between Germany and Russia is a precursor to war!
The fact that Moldova hasn’t been integrating into the EU while so much of the Balkans has could mean Germany has already agreed to let Russia have Moldova. That’s speculation, and the details of such a deal could be open to renegotiation since Russia has had a far harder time conquering Ukraine than expected.
Russia already planned a violent takeover of Moldova. If Germany agreed to let Russia take it, watch for Vladimir Putin to continue to try to expand his new Soviet empire. For more, read our article “Moldova—Russia’s Next Conquest?”
Bombshell: January 6 protest filled with undercover fbi agents: The fbi secretly deployed 274 plainclothes agents to the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, protests. We know this because Kash Patel provided the House Judiciary Committee an after-action report that was withheld from the public for four years.
For years, officials have denied the presence of any undercover fbi agents at the January 6 protest.
-
In December 2024, an 88-page report by the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General said, “We found no evidence in the materials we reviewed or the testimony we received showing or suggesting that the FBI had undercover employees in the various protest crowds, or at the Capitol, on January 6.”
Yet after fbi asset James Ray Epps was filmed encouraging Donald Trump’s supporters to trespass on Capitol grounds, the outsized fbi presence adds weight to the idea that the FBI was trying to incite a riot rather than prevent one.
Who benefited? Two of President Trump’s advisers, Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, had a plan to expose election fraud on Jan. 6, 2021, involving 100 congressional representatives presenting enough evidence of election fraud to convince Vice President Mike Pence to block the certification of the Electoral College votes from swing states. The violence caused Congress members involved in the plan to lose their nerve, thus helping Joe Biden obtain office.
-
Accusing men like Bannon and Navarro of stirring up violence at the Capitol makes no sense, as it was the violence that derailed their plan to expose the stolen election.
However, with 274 plainclothes agents on site, the Obama-led FBI would easily have the means to turn a peaceful protest against election fraud into a riot that shut down Congress.
This latest revelation bears out the truth in “Stolen Election, Fake Insurrection,” Chapter 8 of Gerald Flurry’s book America Under Attack. The exposure of the corruption in America’s government continues.

Germany to allow army to shoot down drones: On Saturday, the country’s interior minister announced plans to grant the armed forces legal authorization to shoot down hostile aircraft, a power previously reserved for domestic security agencies. This decision is in response to recent drone incursions. Since World War II, the German military has largely been barred from domestic security operations. However, legislation has gradually loosened those restrictions. While this step may sound reasonable, it’s another step toward German militarization and normalizing the use of the military at home.
China is testing two XXL underwater drones in the South China Sea off the coast of Hainan. Each drone is over 40 meters long, the size of many regular submarines. China has been militarizing this area for over a decade. If it succeeds in dominating the South China Sea, it can control one third of global sea trade. To understand why this is so concerning according to Bible prophecy, Bible prophecy warns of an economic siege by Asian and European nations that will cripple the United States. Gerald Flurry wrote, “If Europe finds a way to take advantage of key resources and strategic holdings of China, Russia and Japan—even for a short period—then it would have more than enough power to besiege the Anglo-Saxon nations. This is why China’s moves to militarize the South China Sea should be so concerning.” To learn more about this economic siege, read “China is Steering the World Toward War.”
The Houthis are working with the Islamic State and al Qaeda, recent reports from the Crisis Observatory of the Platform Tracking Organized Crime Yemen Center show. Though the Houthis are ideologically at odds with these groups, it is putting those differences aside to pursue collective goals. Notably, a September 22 report shows that the Houthis are bringing captured Islamic State and al Qaeda terrorists into their own ranks. The Houthis are a proxy of Iran, the nation prophesied to lead radical Islam and create a powerful axis of Middle Eastern and African nations. A union with the Islamic State and al Qaeda could forward Iran’s aims, especially its goal of gaining further control of African nations.
Keir Starmer is Britain’s most unpopular prime minister since recordkeeping began: His minus-66 percent satisfaction rating is the lowest since Ipsos began the poll in 1977. He beats the previous record of minus-59 percent set by John Major in 1994. He’s wildly unpopular because Britain faces radical problems, and none of his ideas solve them. Read “The Rise and Fall of an Empire” for the deeper roots of these problems.
Protestant church lists “harmful” Bible scriptures: In a video posted Thursday, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (elca) concluded “a Lutheran reading [of the Bible] frees us from taking all the scriptures only literally.” The elca, one of the largest Christian denominations in the nation, thus rejects Paul’s teaching that all Scripture is inspired (2 Timothy 3:16) and Jesus Christ’s command to live “by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
