Report: Instagram Algorithm Connects Vast Pedophile Network

The social networking service Instagram uses algorithms that connect and promote a vast network of accounts devoted to child-sex material, according to researchers at Stanford University and the University of Massachusetts–Amherst.

The Wall Street Journal reported on June 7:

Pedophiles have long used the Internet, but unlike the forums and file-transfer services that cater to people who have interest in illicit content, Instagram doesn’t merely host these activities. Its algorithms promote them. Instagram connects pedophiles and guides them to content sellers via recommendation systems that excel at linking those who share niche interests, the Journal and academic researchers found.

Sexualized accounts: Instagram allows users to search hashtags related to child-sex abuse, such as #preteensex, #pedobait and #mnsfw. It also allows users to sell pedophilic materials via “menus” of content that obscure graphic materials from casual browsers of the social media platform. This is deeply concerning.

Some will point out that it is hard to police a site that receives nearly 100 million posts per day, yet the fact that three academics with limited access to Instagram code were able to uncover such a vast network indicates at least some level of carelessness or complicity among Instagram employees. Instagram has effectively censored Robert Kennedy Jr. for spreading “misinformation” about mrna vaccines, but it has not been effective in censoring pedophiles and child pornographers from its platform.

Perverted elite: The Prophet Joel warned: “For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink” (Joel 3:1-3). These verses indicate a thriving child-sex trade in the end time where boys are traded for prostitutes and girls are traded for wine. We see the beginnings of this sex trade already among some of America’s perverted elite.
