160-Plus Retired Military Brass Urge Congress to Root Out DEI Programs

More than 160 retired generals and admirals published an open letter on May 20 calling for Congress to purge the United States Defense Department of diversity, equity and inclusion (dei) programs.

“As our nation faces looming threats from ‘foreign’ adversaries/enemies, our military is under assault from a culture war stemming from ‘domestic’ ideologically inspired political policies and practices,” Flag Officers 4 America wrote to Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Armed Services Subcommittee Chairman Mike Rogers and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Ken Calvert. “If not stopped now, they will forever change the military’s warrior ethos essential to performing its mission of deterring aggression and failing that, to fight and win our nation’s wars. Our military must be laser focused on one mission—readiness, undiminished by the culture war engulfing our country.”

DEI programs: Diversity, equity and inclusion is an organizational framework with the stated goal of promoting “the fair treatment and full participation of all people.” Yet as the Flag Officers 4 America point out in their open letter, it is actually derived “from critical race theory, which is rooted in cultural Marxism, where people are grouped into identity classes (typically by race), labeled as ‘oppressed’ or ‘oppressors,’ and pitted against each other.” Rather than promoting unity and esprit de corps in the U.S. military, dei programs are splitting the armed forces into hostile factions.

Marxist takeover: Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier was relieved of his command in the 11th Space Warning Squadron two years ago after he self-published his book, Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military. This book, which briefly reached the “top spot” on Amazon’s bestseller list, warns that new military diversity training programs are destroying America’s military from the inside out using Marxism and critical race theory. Yet the book touched a nerve with Pentagon leaders, who do not want Americans to know what they are doing.

Civil war: The Biden administration’s plan seems to be to purge the military of Trump supporters and transform it into a “Praetorian Guard” used to protect Washington elites from the American people. But the short-term consequence of their strategy is likely to be division and civil war.

As the Biden administration kicks the conservatives out of the military, the military will become more Marxist, but the pool of trained officers that militia groups can recruit will also grow.

In “What Will Happen After Trump Regains Power,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explained that President Donald Trump was the legitimate winner of the 2020 presidential election. He also explained that Bible prophecy says President Trump will return to power, but “the indication is that regaining office may take considerable work. Donald Trump will have to fight for it. It doesn’t have to be military action, but it certainly could. President Trump could also lead some states to secede from the union. That would lead to some kind of warfare.”

The Flag Officers 4 America seem to recognize where events are heading and are trying to warn America of the dangers ahead. Yet the Bible reveals that events will proceed to civil war unless the nation repents of the sins pushing the country toward destruction.
