Biden’s IRS Targets Matt Taibbi

Democrats weaponizing the Internal Revenue Service against political opponents is not speculation. Under Barack Obama, the irs targeted groups with “tea party” or “patriot” in their names. And under Joe Biden, the irs is targeting those exposing the Censorship Industrial Complex.

After investigative journalist Matt Taibbi testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Federal Government on March 9, he received a surprise visit from an irs agent. House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan sent a letter to irs Commissioner Daniel Werfel and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on March 28 seeking an explanation, but he has yet to receive a response.

Political persecution: Both the circumstances and timing of the irs’s call on Taibbi are suspicious. Not only did the agent show up while Taibbi was before Congress, but he left a note instructing Taibbi to call the irs four days later. When Taibbi complied, he was informed that his 2018 and 2021 tax returns had been rejected owing to concerns over identity theft.

Since neither case involve a monetary issue, however, many people believe that the irs is trying to intimidate Taibbi for his role in helping new Twitter ceo Elon Musk publish the Twitter Files—a vast cache of internal e-mails proving that Twitter cooperated with the federal government to censor conservative speech deliberately.

‘Deep state’: In his article “Barack Obama and the Twitter Files,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry highlighted how much corruption the Twitter Files have exposed, but he also pointed out that none of the Twitter Files have delved into what was going on at Twitter while Barack Obama was in office.

Obama established the partnership between the government and social media, yet neither Musk nor Taibbi has delved into what happened between 2009 and 2017. It seems like Twitter is protecting Obama, but could it be that Musk and Taibbi are afraid of what might happen to them if they expose Obama’s role in government censorship? Musk’s taxes are audited annually “by default” due to his vast wealth, but Taibbi may be getting his first taste of what it’s like to be on Obama’s bad side.
