FBI Agent Who Investigated Alleged Trump Ties to Russia Had Ties to Hunter Biden
A former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent arrested last week for his ties to a sanctioned Russian oligarch also had close ties to Hunter Biden. According to data stored on Hunter’s infamous laptop, Charles McGonigal’s wife and Hunter Biden both received 29 e-mails related to their lacrosse-playing daughters. But a common interest in lacrosse is not all the McGonigals and Bidens shared.
Charles McGonigal was also tied to Hunter Biden through the fbi’s investigation of Chinese spy Patrick Ho, who was arrested on Nov. 18, 2017. McGonigal was in charge of the Counterintelligence Division investigating Ho. At the same time, Biden was a business partner with Ho in a $1 million deal for Biden to provide “counsel to matters related to U.S. law and advice pertaining to the hiring and legal analysis of any U.S. law firm or lawyer.”
Russiagate hoax: This story is especially significant as McGonigal was also one of the first fbi officials to hear of allegations that Donald Trump’s campaign adviser George Papadopoulos knew the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton. This information was used to launch the Crossfire Hurricane investigation into the Trump campaign. The Horowitz report later demonstrated that the fbi opened this investigation based on fabricated evidence. It is ironic that the agent who spearheaded this “witch hunt” against Trump was close to Biden and may even be guilty of the same crimes the fbi tried to pin on Trump.
Investigative journalist Lee Smith has speculated that the fake dossier of crimes that former MI6 agent Christopher Steele compiled about Trump may have been based on crimes that Hunter Biden actually committed. Ongoing revelations about McGonigal make this seem more and more likely.
