Donald Trump Proposes Big Changes to America’s Public Education System
As school districts continue to indoctrinate children with critical race theory and sexualized curriculum, President Donald Trump is fighting back against this Communist assault on families. “Our public schools have been taken over by the radical-left maniacs,” he said in a January 26 video. “Here is my plan to restore power to American parents.”
The 45th president said that the first step in his plan to “save American education” would be to cut federal funding for any school or program pushing critical race theory, gender ideology or other “inappropriate racial, sexual or political content to children.” He also promised to direct the departments of Justice and Education to open investigations into any school that has engaged in race-based discrimination if he is again elected president.
“The Marxism being preached in our schools is also totally hostile to Judeo-Christian teachings, and in many ways, it is resembling an established new religion,” Trump continued. “For this reason, my administration will aggressively pursue potential violations of the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the Constitution.”
To accomplish such an ambitious plan, President Trump acknowledged the need to remove “the radicals, zealots and Marxists” who have infiltrated the Education Department. And he acknowledged the need to adopt a “Parental Bill of Rights” that includes complete curriculum transparency and merit pay for high-performing teachers.
“At the end of the day, if we have pink-haired Communists teaching our kids, we have a major problem,” said Trump. “When I’m president, we will put parents back in charge and give them the final say. We will get back to teaching reading, writing and math, called arithmetic. And we will give our kids the high quality, pro-American education they deserve.”
America’s educational system was founded by men like Noah Webster, who believed that a well-rounded education requires instruction in art, history, literature, math, philosophy, reading, science, writing and, above all, the Bible. Yet in the 1890s, educators began embracing an atheistic worldview based on rejecting God and His revelation. They embraced the agnosticism of Charles Darwin, the politics of Karl Marx and the morality of Sigmund Freud. As a result, American society has been in decline ever since. This decline has become especially pronounced in the past decade.
The fact that organizations like Hillsdale College and the Trump administration are trying to revive traditional Judeo-Christian education in America is a very positive development. Only time will tell how much progress President Trump makes toward this goal.
A prophecy in Amos 7:13 indicates that the rule of law will be temporarily restored in America. This verse refers to an institution called “the kingdom’s court” that supports an end-time anti-type of King Jeroboam ii. In his article “Can President Trump Get Control of His Own Divided Government?”, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry explained that the word court can refer to an assembly of buildings where law is taught or practiced. This court refers to the Supreme Court building and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, where many government agencies are headquartered. Many of these agencies will eventually support Donald Trump, a Jeroboam figure.
These prophecies indicate that President Trump may get some measure of control over the U.S. Department of Education and other institutions currently educating American children. Yet any positive changes he makes will be a divine act of mercy, giving the American people a chance to repent of the sins that allowed it to get so bad in the nation.
