Seven Dead in California’s Second Mass Shooting in Three Days

A combined seven people from two locations were killed by a shooter in Half Moon Bay, California, on January 23. Zhao Chunli, 67 years old, killed four people at a Mushroom farm and then three people at a greenhouse using a semiautomatic handgun. He was arrested without incident according to the police, and they believe he was acting alone.

Back-to-back shootings: Zhao is the third Asian-American to commit a mass shooting in recent weeks. His motive is still unknown, and many Asian-Americans are confused.

Every time a mass shooting happens, people struggle to make sense of the tragedy. Some point to guns as the problem and demand greater gun restriction. California has arguably the strictest gun control laws in the country, but they haven’t prevented these shootings. In the last two weeks, California has experienced three mass shootings that have killed a total of 24 people.

The Trumpet said: “Within our present governmental system we cannot solve the terrifying problem of violence! We are having trouble even deterring it!” wrote Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry in “The Real Solution to Mass Shootings and Violence.” “There is good news though. God is about to implement a new system of government.”
