German Intelligence Agency Employee Allegedly Spied for Russia
The German Foreign Intelligence Service (bnd) believes it’s found a traitor in its ranks. An employee is said to have spied for Russia.
- Carsten L., a German national who allegedly passed on information to a Russian intelligence service, was arrested on December 22.
- The information allegedly involved state secrets, which were classified to avert threats to Germany’s external security.
Russia doesn’t trust Germany: In 2015, a hacker paralyzed the German Bundestag for several days. Investigations identified the primary culprit as Russian agent Dimitri Badin. According to information obtained by Spiegel Online, Badin works for the Russian military secret service gru.
- This highlights an important point: Germany and Russia are partners when they need each other, but signs indicate this relationship of convenience will be short-lived.
Tensions rising: Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry writes in Daniel Unlocks Revelation:
There is some real tension between Russia and Germany over Ukraine. … The Russians understand the German mind much better than our nations do and they are becoming fearful of the EU. They see danger on the horizon. They are holding back now because of their dependence on German money and business.
These tensions, though small today, will lead to a future clash, prophesied in Daniel 11:44. To understand, read “Tidings of a Russian Spy Scandal Trouble Germany.”
