Homosexual ‘Marriage’ in Guam
Guam handed out its first marriage licenses for homosexuals yesterday, becoming the first United States territory to recognize same-sex “marriage.”
The District Court of Guam ruled last Friday that defining marriage as between two people of the opposite sex was unconstitutional. It gave government officials a few days to prepare to deliver marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
The legalization comes a day after the Pew Research Center published data showing that 57 percent of Americans favor allowing same-sex “marriage,” up from 42 percent five years ago. Pew also found that 72 percent believe legal recognition of same-sex unions is “inevitable.”
