State elections in Germany over the weekend proved that many Germans aren’t afraid to disagree with the nation’s two leading parties. This was the first time in post-1945 Germany that a party besides the Christian Democratic Union or the Social Democrats took the majority of votes in a state election. The results were unusual for German politics and show that voters are more concerned about policy and politicians than about loyalty to a party. Where will this trend lead Germany’s political scene?Russia announced this week that it is finishing up its campaign in Syria. In October last year, United States President Barack Obama said Russia was involving itself in a “quagmire” by intervening in Syria. However, Russia accomplished its mission of bolstering the Assad regime and is walking away from the conflict unscathed. As one article for the Wall Street Journal was appropriately titled: “So Much for Putin’s Syria ‘Quagmire.’”Listen to Stephen Flurry discuss these topics and more on today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show.

The United States and Britain are experiencing a masculinity crisis. From as early as 4 years old, girls begin to think they are superior to boys, and not long after, boys begin to accept the inferior role. In nearly every area of society, the role of the male is being undermined. What triggered this dangerous trend, and what effects will it have on society?Recent studies have discovered that attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder is vastly over-diagnosed. Scientists say many children are just immature. In the United Kingdom, nearly 1 million children have prescriptions for drugs like Ritalin to combat the supposed “disorder.” In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the number is somewhere over 6.4 million. The drugs come with serious side effects, which is a big price to pay to combat a disorder that may not even be there. What can parents do to solve this problem?Learn more about these topics and discover the answers on today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show with Stephen Flurry.

The question “What happened?” is at the heart of the study of history. It should be an easy and straightforward one to answer. But people can’t seem to agree on it. Today’s episode explores the way national governments teach history to their peoples in ways that shape the populations. In some nations, history is taught in a manner that is designed to fill students with patriotism and nationalism. In others, it is taught in ways that make the students ashamed of their country. But perverting history—whether to make it brighter or darker—obscures its precious and vital truth. This episode offers listeners a free book that unlocks crucial truths about history that are unavailable anywhere else.
