It’s hard to see any way back into the royal family for Harry and Meghan after risky decision to appear in U.S. voting video

It’s one thing for Meghan to nail her political colours to the mast – but quite another for Prince Harry to do the same

When Lady Colin Campbell first wrote about the Duchess of Sussex’s political ambitions, the Royal author was branded “bizarre” and “ignorant”.

Notwithstanding some of the more outlandish claims in her controversial book, Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, it now appears Lady C may have been onto something.

For in urging Americans to vote in a video alongside Prince Harry, (shown below), which more than hints at Democrat leanings, Meghan may well have laid the first stone in her path to the White House.

The more interesting question for royal watchers, however, is where does all this leave her husband?

Certainly not in an ideal place as far as his Royal relatives are concerned. In the video broadcast as part of a Time 100 event, Harry said: “This election, I’m not going to be able to vote here in the US.

“But many of you may not know that I haven’t been able to vote in the UK my entire life. As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity.”

It’s one thing for Meghan, as a former American actress who had previously made no secret of her dislike of Donald Trump, to nail her colours to the mast – but quite another for one of the Queen’s grandsons to do the same.
