Israel Avoids 9/11-Style Attack
An airline copilot stabbed his lead pilot in an attempt to hijack the plane and carry out a 9/11-style attack on Tuesday.
The Omani hijacker-pilot was flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv, before he took over the plane and tried to crash it—and kill himself and 174 passengers, most of whom were Israelis.
-
Instead, the passengers subdued him, and an additional flight crew on board landed the plane safely in Saudi Arabia. One of the Israeli passengers was a medical professional who helped the wounded pilot, who is now in stable condition.
-
Whether the pilot planned to crash the plane into a landmark, as on 9/11, or to simply kill the passengers by crashing into the ground is not clear.
The attack comes as the nation nears the third anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attack and in the lead-up to Israel’s elections. It’s a sobering reminder of the hate Israel faces daily.
After the October 7 attack, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:
These are demonic actions. They are inspired by Satan the devil, who hates human beings, and especially hates Jews. That is a bold statement, but you can prove it from your Bible. … This is important to realize; otherwise you will not grasp the significance of what has happened in the Jewish state of Israel.
This nightmare is a foreshadowing and a sign of the unprecedented suffering prophesied to come upon the whole world very soon!
That demonic hate is still present and spreading. It will lead to terrible suffering for Israel and the entire world. But as we have been covering on our website this week, it will be followed by the return of Jesus Christ, the end of Satan’s rule over the Earth, and the setting up of a wonderful time of peace and rejoicing.
Germany Changes the Rules Before the AfD Can Vote
Germany’s Conference of Interior Ministers has agreed to abandon its principle of unanimous decisions, the German Press Agency reported yesterday. The decision is reportedly intended to prepare for a potential state government led by the Alternative für Deutschland.
-
This conference is the standing meeting of the interior ministers and senators of the 16 federal states, where they coordinate police, migration and domestic security practice.
-
For decades, the unwritten custom was that a resolution passed only if no state actively objected. Now, however, a new resolution can pass with only 13 of the 16 votes.
Germany is increasingly diverging from democratic norms to prevent a standstill.
Broader trend: The Telegraph and Die Welt revealed in July that the German government is secretly planning to block German states from interfering with its war preparations by developing a crisis mechanism that overrides state governments’ decision-making powers.
Many paths lead to dictatorship, and Germany is taking a few of them. The Bible reveals that Germany’s democratic norms will be suspended, giving way to militaristic authoritarian rule. Neither the AfD nor any other party will prevent this drastic military transformation.

The EU and Canada will announce a “sweeping new partnership pact,” Politico wrote yesterday. Politico, quoting from the draft, claims the new agreement will help “build a deeper and more integrated relationship,” mainly through critical mineral projects and stockpiling resources. The European Union may seem like a natural partner for Canada to align with amid fraying ties with the United States, but Bible prophecy warns that Canada’s pivot to Europe is a trap.
