Palestinian Broadcast Encourages Child Suicide Bombers

What is more important to Hamas: raising Palestinian children or killing Jews? Trick question. Hamas is interested in raising a generation of Palestinian children to kill Jews.

Israel Insider reported on the latest music video being broadcast on Al-Aqsa tv: “Tens of thousands of Palestinian children were Wednesday treated to a special television film broadcast from Al-Aqsa tv, a station run by Hamas. To moving music and heart-rending lyrics, powerful images impacted impressionable viewers throughout Gaza, Judea and Samaria, sowing young hearts with seeds that will one day see a bountiful harvest reaped among their people.”

Is the Palestinian unity government, through its official tv station, trying to sow the seeds of peace? Hardly. The music video glorifies the actions of Hamas’s first female suicide bomber and depicts her daughter following in her footsteps.

The video depicts a 4-year-old girl named Duha, who is singing while watching her mother preparing for her suicide mission. Then she, her brother and father see the news of their mother’s bombing. At first she mourns, but then Duha sings, “Instead of me, you carried a bomb in your hands. / Only now, I know what was more precious than us. / May your steps be blessed ….”

At the end of the video, Duha opens her mother’s drawer and pulls out an explosive. She gazes steadily into the camera after promising, “My love will not be [merely] words. / I am following Mommy in her steps.”

The real Duha’s mother, Reem Saleh al-Riyashi, killed four Israeli border guards in a suicide bombing three years ago. The video’s words and actions send a strong message to Palestinians that killing Israelis takes precedence over being a mother. The music video is popular and has been aired over and over, encouraging a new generation to love killing Jews more than they love their own families.

This music video is being shown by the Palestinian Authority’s official station. How can Israel negotiate with a government that openly advocates little girls growing up to kill Israelis? Israel needs to wake up and acknowledge the heinous intentions of its neighbor. The Palestinian government is breeding the next generation of young people to hate Israel even more than the current one.

How tragic and lamentable that small children are brought up to love killing from the youngest of ages. If that is all they ever hear, how can they grow up to love peace?

But there is hope for both Palestinian and Israeli children. Soon the hateful broadcasts like the one shown on Al-Aqsa tv will be stopped, and Palestinian children will play with Israeli children. Don’t believe it? Find out more.
