Russia Will Train Chinese Soldiers to Combat NATO Weaponry

Russian officers will train hundreds of Chinese troops this year on how to apply combat lessons Russia has learned during its ongoing wars on Ukraine, the Kyiv Post reported on June 24.

The report, based on sources in Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate, says:

• Approximately 600 Chinese military personnel will receive training this year.
• Their training will take place inside Russia, at a range of bases and military facilities.
• The focus will be preparing Chinese soldiers to counter specific Western weapons, with emphasis on preparing artillerymen, engineers, air defense experts and tank operators.
• China’s military is expected to apply these new battlefield insights in its upcoming invasion of Taiwan.

Robust partnership: Russia’s decision to “allow Chinese military personnel to study and adopt the combat experience Russia has gained in its war against Ukraine” serves to “clearly illustrate the Russian regime’s intention to align with China in a course of global confrontation with the West,” a source in the Defense Intelligence Directorate said.

This is another sign that the Russia-China partnership remains a defining feature of the modern geopolitical landscape.

In 2014, after China publicly backed Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula, Mr. Flurry called the support “a stunning fulfillment of a biblical prophecy!” He wrote:

Actually we have been proclaiming for over 50 years that Russia, China and other Asian nations would ally themselves in the end time. And we are in that end time now. … When these Asian nations—extremely powerful nuclear-armed countries—begin to show solidarity with each other regarding moves like that, what does that portend for the world? I tell you it is woe to the world. It will cause many serious problems.
