Evidence Emerges That China Is Supplying Arms to Russia
New intelligence shows that China is supplying Russia with military equipment and building arms in Russian territory, the South China Morning Post reported on Friday. The report is based on testimony from Ukrainian leadership and follows a pattern of significant Chinese support to Russia throughout the war.
- China is supplying both gunpowder and artillery to Russia, according to the report.
- Chinese representatives are also assisting with the production of some weaponry inside Russia.
Denial: Liu Pengyu, a spokesman for the Chinese embassy in Washington, D.C., said China “has not, and will not, provide weapons to any party involved in the conflict. This position has been consistent and clear.”
Exposed: Though China has long attempted to maintain a facade of neutrality regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine, the nation has been found supporting Russia since the war’s earliest months.
- In 2023, China bought 45 to 50 percent of Russian oil exports, a dramatic increase from the quantities it was buying before the full-scale war and enough to greatly soften the blow of Western sanctions and to enable Russia to keep financing the war.
- The Chinese have supplied Russia with large quantities of militarily useful drone components, semiconductors, ball bearings, trucks, helicopters, optical sights, excavators and machine tools for tanks. In many cases, these were items the Russians couldn’t have gotten anywhere else.
- Valerii Zaluzhnyi, former commander in chief of the Ukrainian Army, confirmed in November that Russian troops were firing Chinese shells.
- On April 8, Ukraine’s leadership announced that Ukraine had captured two Chinese soldiers fighting for the Russian Army. Some 150 were said to be fighting alongside the Russians, though it is likely they were doing so in a mercenary capacity.
Asian allies: The Bible prophesies of a powerful alliance of Asian nations, led by Russia and China, which it calls the “kings of the east.” This alliance will play a pivotal role in a coming global war.
In his 2014 article “Asia Stands With Putin,” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote:
When these Asian nations—extremely powerful nuclear-armed countries—begin to show solidarity with each other regarding moves like that, what does that portend for the world? I tell you it is woe to the world. It will cause many serious problems. And it is going to affect everyone.
