China Strikes Back Against Trump’s Tariffs

China will place a 34 percent reciprocal tariff against the United States on April 10, the nation’s Financial Ministry announced Friday.

Why it matters: U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war on China is in full swing. Though Mr. Trump’s tariffs may have some favorable effects, they are uniting the world against America, which will play a major role in its downfall.

Retaliation: President Trump imposed a wide range of tariffs against many countries on April 2. This included a 34 percent tariff on Chinese goods.

  • This was in addition to the 20 percent tariff already added since Mr. Trump’s inauguration.

In addition to its reciprocal tariffs, China added 11 U.S. companies to its “unreliable entity list.” It also placed export controls on 16 U.S. companies and seven kinds of rare earth minerals it sells to the U.S.

Prophesied war: The Bible warned that trade wars would come, and it reveals the outcome. Mr. Trump is prophesied to lead America to a temporary resurgence, and these tariffs may play a role in that. However, his actions are also turning the world against the U.S.

Prophecy warns that most of the world will soon unite to block the U.S. out of world trade. Unless America turns to God, this coming alliance will cripple the U.S. and lead to its fall.
