German President Visits Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is visiting the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey during a three-day tour of the Middle East, which began today. He met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and will also visit King Abdullah ii of Jordan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

This trip marks the first official visit of a German head of state to Saudi Arabia.

Focus: The primary focus of the visits is to discuss the situation in Syria. Since the fall of Bashar Assad’s regime in December, Germany has become a front-runner in providing Syria with aid and support.

Discussions are also expected to deal with the Gaza ceasefire, Iran and the future of the United States’ policy in the Middle East.

Alliance: The Trumpet closely watches strengthening ties between Germany and various moderate Arab nations because of a prophecy in Psalm 83. This prophecy foretells of an alliance between Germany and Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey, among other Arab states.

This union will come together with the goal of destroying the U.S., Britain and the Jewish state.
