Russia Prepares Another Wave of Mass Mobilization

Russia is planning another round of mass mobilization for its war against Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Monday. Its statement said:

Due to the catastrophic losses of the occupiers, a massive forced mobilization is expected to begin shortly. It will cover both Russia and … the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to various estimates, the number of people to be mobilized could range from 400,000 to 700,000.

Around 40,000 are expected to come from Chechnya to form “barrier units” behind the main Russian force. The numbers recruited from Moscow and St. Petersburg are expected to be minimal in keeping with the Kremlin’s desire to minimize losses for Russia’s richest and most affluent people.

Whether this mass mobilization will actually take place and what difference it would make in Russia’s war are unknown. In September 2022, President Vladimir Putin ordered the mobilization of 300,000 additional troops, but the effects were minimal.

Rising superpower: Regardless of whether Putin’s new initiatives help turn the tide in the near term, it is certain that Russia will continue to grow in military might. It will soon be a military superpower leading a multinational force far larger than any ever assembled in history. This is foretold in Bible prophecy.

The Bible warns of a great 200 million-man army to rise from the “kings of the east.” Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry proves that Russia will lead these kings, with Putin at the helm. Putin’s expansionism from 2008 to today shows a spirit that will lead to a greater rise of Russia. We expect most of Russia’s militaristic attempts to reunite the Soviet Empire to succeed.
