France Announces Airstrikes in Syria Against Islamic State
France has said that it will launch airstrikes in Syria against the Islamic State. Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on Tuesday that France would have “full autonomy of decision and action” with the airstrikes. France appears to be taking the fight to radical Islam since 2015 has brought several deadly Islamist terrorist attacks on its own soil. Meanwhile, the United States has pulled most of its forces out of the Middle East. The recent nuclear deal effectively crowns terrorist-sponsoring Iran as king of the Middle East.
