During the critical months of January and February, the United States media were obsessed with covering the sham impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. At the same time, those media outlets were writing that coronavirus was nothing to be alarmed about and how the common flu was a much bigger problem. The media didn’t just ignore coronavirus—it wrote about why it wasn’t a problem. Then earlier this week, Joe Scarborough on MSNBC criticized President Trump for not responding sooner and said, “Everybody saw this coming.”
