Health Officials the World Over: Be Afraid—Be Very Afraid

Leaders around the world are inciting panic in response to the coronavirus outbreak. National Insitute of Allergy and Infectious Disease head Anthony Fuaci said yesterday, “If it looks like you’re overreacting, you’re probably doing the right thing.” Former Ronald Reagan speech writer Peggy Noonan wrote that saying “Don’t panic” is “rotten advice,” and that “sometimes paranoia is just good sense.” What is the cost of this widespread panic? Why are leaders stoking the paranoia? What happened to common sense? On today’s show, I talk about coronavirus in the framework of Bible prophecy and how this crisis is exposing our nation’s division and leadership failings.
