November 9 marks the 80-year anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, when Adolf Hitler incited riots that triggered Germany’s campaign to destroy European Jewry. The 9th is also when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. And then on Sunday, November 11, Britain celebrates Remembrance Day. On today’s show, I talk about these major historical events and the lessons we can learn from them.
