Even CNN and AP recognized that Joe Biden’s State of the Union address Thursday night was an unusually partisan and divisive campaign speech that highlighted his disconnection from reality. He angrily decried “shrinkflation” of Snickers bars and took every opportunity to criticize his “predecessor”—while glossing over major issues like the southern border crisis and the spike in migrant crime that American voters actually care about. The real president, Donald Trump, uploaded a video rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union, calling Biden out for “lying like crazy to try and escape accountability for the horrific devastation he and his party have created.”
