This new variant first appeared in southern Africa, and the 27-nation European Union is already proposing halting air travel from the region. Why are the media and governments so quick to generate fear over the new variant? As Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry wrote in the January 2022 print issue, “They are turning coronavirus, the environment, race and other issues into weapons for forcing through their agenda.”
