Last Friday, U.S. prosecutor John Durham filed charges against a member of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel, Kevin Clinesmith, who forged evidence in order to secure a warrant to spy on the Trump administration in 2017. After Mr. Trump’s victory in 2016, Clinesmith texted co-workers that he was part of the “resistance” and was worried about his name being on documents investigating Trump’s campaign. Before the announcement, Bill Barr said the charges were not a huge development, hinting that there is bigger news to come.
