Europe buys record amount of LNG from Russia

The Financial Times reported yesterday that the European Union purchased 9.9 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas from Russia in the first six months of this year, 18 percent more than in the same period last year. Four years after Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, European countries are still funding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war efforts.
