Flooding in New Zealand

New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington, and its surrounding region were under a state of emergency yesterday as heavy rains brought flash floods and landslides. People in low-lying areas were asked to relocate, and over 100 schools closed. As of yesterday, one man was declared missing. The damage could have been far worse.
