How Germany Could Lead the Siege
The Bible reveals that one specific nation will lead the attack against America.
Deuteronomy 28:49-51 have this shocking prophecy: “The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you” (New King James Version).
Daniel 8:23 uses the same phrase “fierce countenance” (King James Version) to describe the man who will lead Germany in the end time. (This is explained in our free booklet A Strong German Leader Is Imminent.)
Putting these scriptures together with Isaiah 10, Daniel 2 and Revelation 17, Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry warns in Daniel Unlocks Revelation: “The Holy Roman Empire will besiege modern Israel in all our gates and then destroy us.”
Germany is prophesied to lead a resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire in Europe.
Like the Roman Empire of old, Germany carries the eagle on its standard—and like a swift eagle, it will fall on America. This is only possible because the United States has come to trust its World War ii enemy.
Understanding this prophecy makes recent German activity alarming.
In 2024, Germany was the third-largest foreign investor in the U.S. The top 50 German companies in the U.S. include Aldi, American Rheinmetall Munitions, Bayer, basf, dhl Inc., sap Americas, Siemens, T-Mobile U.S.A. and the Volkswagen Group of America. According to the German-American Chamber of Commerce, together they generate hundreds of billions in revenue and employ over half a million Americans.
Companies like Rheinmetall, Bayer, basf and Volkswagen were critical to Adolf Hitler’s war effort. In 1996, the U.S. declassified documents that revealed that these companies were ordered to go underground at the end of the war.
What would happen if these companies suddenly closed business in the U.S.? It could lead to widespread job losses, supply chain disruptions and shortages in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, logistics and automotive production. Germany could even plant disruptive agents in these companies to cause chaos in America.
One example in particular highlights America’s naive trust.
In 2018, Germany’s Bayer AG completed the acquisition of Monsanto, a leading producer of chemical, agricultural, and biochemical products. Today Bayer controls around a third of U.S. soybean seed, corn seed and cotton seed. More than 90 percent of the soybeans, corn and cotton planted in the U.S. are genetically modified, and as Farm Action reports, Bayer and basf together control 90 percent of U.S. planted acres with genetically modified traits for corn, soybeans and cotton.
In Nazi Germany, Bayer and basf were part of the conglomerate IG Farben, manufacturer of, among other things, the Nazis’ death gas, Zyklon B. Handelsblatt called IG Farben “the company that enabled Hitler’s world war.”
“These IG Farben criminals, not the lunatic Nazi fanatics, are the main war criminals,” said Nuremberg trials prosecutor Telford Taylor. “If the guilt of these criminals is not brought to light and if they are not punished, they will represent a much greater threat to the future peace of the world than Hitler if he were still alive.”
What if Bayer and basf’s genetically modified seeds fail to produce in the future? What if their pesticides no longer bring the promised effect? What if the chemical composition of pesticides is changed and they destroy the crop? These and other factors such as God-sent weather curses could greatly diminish U.S. harvests and lead to what is described in Deuteronomy 28:49-51.
If these curses set in during a siege (prophesied in verse 52), the trouble would be compounded. That is exactly what the Bible indicates will happen.
