Israel, Greece and Cyprus may establish rapid-response force

The unit would consist of about 2,500 personnel, the Jerusalem Post reported yesterday. The proposed initiative comes in response to Turkey’s recent military and strategic activities in the eastern Mediterranean. The plans include air and naval support, with potential deployment areas including Rhodes, Karpathos, Cyprus and bases in Israel.
