The British Broadcasting Corp. has long claimed to be the most trusted and powerful news organization in the world. Yet a recently revealed scandal shows that, beneath the surface, the bbc is among the most corrupt news organizations in the world!

The British are scrutinizing bbc leaders and journalists over revelations about how it has lowered and ignored its own journalistic standards, and outright lied, to serve its bias. That bias favors immigration, Islamism and sexual perversion. It falsely alleges racism and genocide. And it attacks Israel and United States President Donald Trump.

On November 3, the Telegraph published the first of several reports about the bias by revealing the findings of Michael Prescott, an external adviser to the bbc Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee who emphasized that the bbc is guilty of “serious and systemic problems,” illustrated by its drastic editing of a video of President Trump that it aired only a week before the 2024 U.S. presidential elections. This is just one example of what the bbc is doing—and has been doing—to undermine Britain and America.

The bbc is the world’s oldest broadcaster, bringing listeners and viewers across the British Empire and Commonwealth and around the world historic news for over a century. Its current leaders continue to promote it as trustworthy and beneficial. But the bbc has been using that trust to sabotage Britain, as well as America, for decades!

Last year, with America on the verge of voting between President Trump and Kamala Harris, the bbc’s Panorama aired its documentary “Trump: A Second Chance?” on October 28. bbc executives and journalists wanted to shape viewers’ perceptions, if not the outcome of the November 5 election itself. They showed a video clip of President Trump at his Jan. 6, 2021, rally after the previous election. “We are going to walk down to the Capitol,” he said, “and I’ll be there with you. And we fight, we fight like h***.”

This was the day that Congress was meeting in the Capitol to officially certify the election. That election had serious irregularities, and Joe Biden had somehow received far more votes than anyone in history. It was one of the worst political crises in American history. bbc viewers saw the president appearing to incite violence at the Capitol. Many surely questioned whether Mr. Trump should become president again. Yet, as a leaked memo from a bbc adviser highlights, this video was an intentional deception.

What President Trump actually said was, “We are going to walk down to the Capitol, and we are going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women.” He specifically called for people in the crowd to support the legal process: members in Congress going into session and debating the evidence of election fraud that had given Biden a statistically inexplicable 81 million votes.

Donald Trump’s statement about fighting was made more than 50 minutes later in that speech, in a different context. The bbc edit made it look like President Trump tried to start a riot at the Capitol, as if to physically stop members of Congress, with threats, force and actual violence!

Why did bbc journalists, editors and executives make and broadcast that clip and that documentary? Why, when it is so easy to disprove? The answer, as my son said on the Trumpet Daily, is so much bigger than just that edit.

On November 9, the bbc’s top executive, Tim Davie, and its top editorial leader, Deborah Turness, resigned. President Trump said he will sue the bbc for billions of dollars. bbc bias continues to fill headlines in Britain.

But those who are trying to stop the radical-leftist agenda at the bbc are up against something much bigger and much deeper than most of them realize!

This institution has been doing this for decades, and it is destroying the country!

The shameful way the bbc has attacked and is attacking President Trump is troublingly similar to the shameful way it attacked Winston Churchill in the 1930s.

Mr. Churchill was doing everything possible to warn and save his country and the world from Adolf Hitler. Britain almost lost World War ii. The world came dangerously close to being slaughtered and enslaved by Nazi Germany. Yet the bbc did everything in its power to keep Churchill out of office. Churchill biographer Henry Pelling wrote that “the bbc had kept him off the air on controversial questions in the 1930s.” Those “controversial questions” included his strongest warnings about the dangers of Nazi Germany!

The bbc used its power to virtually silence Winston Churchill when he tried to warn his country. Britain was facing its worst crisis ever, and this state-funded corporation rejected his strong warning about Germany. The bbc worked hard to stop his message to save the Western world! Such a colossal and dangerous blunder should have brought the most profound change to the bbc! But the left-wing media have a very poor memory of their own wretched history.

Did the bbc repent of this monstrous crime against its own country and much of the world? No, it did not. Its reporting is even more biased and dangerous today!

Have they learned anything from this extremely damaging history? They are treating President Trump in much the same way.

Winston Churchill faced this weak, deceitful media in the 1930s. Almost all the media refused to see Hitler for what he really was—until it was almost too late!

Finally, Hitler forced them to see how evil he really was! They didn’t see until they were forced to see. Don’t forget that. And don’t expect them to voluntarily repent today.

This issue gets to the heart of the survival of our peoples. That is how important it is!

The recent history of Churchill and the bbc is a good example to illustrate the deadly danger of the left-wing media. That history condemns many in the media.

Today, the bbc has moved even further to the left. This has led it into its greatest crisis ever. The bbc’s example illustrates what is happening to all left-wing media today.

Think back over the recent history of the bbc. After terrorists shocked America on Sept. 11, 2001, and Britain on July 7, 2005, the bbc went to work undermining those who wanted to fight Islamic terrorism. Later it promoted the immigration of huge numbers of migrants, many of them Islamic. It has neglected and attacked Britain’s past, especially its traditions and principles that can be traced back to the Bible. When Britain joined the war on terror in earnest in 2003, the bbc amplified whatever it could to portray the government as manipulating intelligence and rushing into an unjust war for the wrong reasons. In fact, an inquiry into the government’s justification of participating in the Iraq War found that the bbc ignored proper editorial procedures and accused the government of fabricating or exaggerating intelligence on Iraq and of revealing the identity of a weapons expert who subsequently committed suicide. They question and undermine leaders and everyday individuals who think Britain and America should deal forcefully with terrorists and other enemies. When our forces do go to war, they amplify the claims of people who say the war will go badly, fomenting antiwar sentiment and reducing the morale of troops abroad. The ugly chapters of bbc history keep on coming!

The bbc has led the media in their slanted, antiwar reporting.

Why are left-wing views of war so dangerous? They destroy the military spirit that defends our people! Our military power is of little value if we lack the will to use it.

Why should our most courageous young men and women risk their lives in war or in trying to make their country great in other ways while most of the media condemn what they are doing? This is fulfilling a prophecy where God says He will “break the pride of your power”—or will to use that power—because of our sins (Leviticus 26:19). This is the real problem we must confront, regardless of our political philosophy!

The left-wing media learned nothing from that mega-disaster. As Mr. Churchill said, the only thing we learn from history is that we never learn from history. That means history is going to repeat itself! And this next time, there will be no political leader to save us!

Some people are going to scorn this analysis, but not for long.

These “appeaseniks” have a history of failing to learn nation-saving lessons.

If the peoples of America and Britain were united behind our leaders, there would be more fear in the terrorist-sponsoring nations and subversives within our nations. Our national leaders should amplify and expand this truth: It’s a paramount vision our peoples fail to see.

Their goal is to change the people to their way of thinking. And they are succeeding, frighteningly well. They are also destroying the security of America, Britain and Israel. So this concerns each one of us.

They arrogantly believe they are qualified to tell people how to think. Their goal is not to get the facts to our people, which journalists should be doing. The left-wing media’s goal is to change our people’s thinking. They are not trustworthy journalists. They don’t want to inform—they want to rule! They are tyrants and terrorists of the intellect!

The left-wing media scorn history. That is why they never seem to learn lessons from history—even recent history like events leading up to World War ii and the Iraq War. They worship the false god of their own human reasoning and a radical ideology.

That means they give us very little context in their reporting. They give us their biased opinion and often fail to give us the whole story. They are lost in their own warped human reasoning. They are a danger even to themselves! They are also a grave danger to the many people who trust them.

The bbc is massive, reaching millions. It has been compared to cnn, Fox News, National Public Radio, the New York Times and pbs all rolled into one, with millions of viewers watching and trusting. The more who watch and believe the bbc, the weaker their nation becomes!

The bbc’s leaders still cannot see and will not repent of their faults. They are simply too arrogant to see their own glaring weaknesses. And they are a part of the most powerful and trusted media corporation in the world!

Leaders of such power-packed media must have abundant humility or they are a deadly danger to their nation and the world!

The bbc has become so self-righteous that it thinks it should get away with false statements. It has forgotten its obligation to the truth and how noble it is to always seek and tell the truth. Only the truth can set us free (John 8:32).

Falsehood enslaves us—it takes us into a black world of deceit. It is a less violent slavery than what terrorists fight for, but it is still slavery! It is a slavery of the intellect. We become enslaved to error, evil and fantasy and call it truth and freedom.

This issue gets to the core of whether or not we really love truth and freedom. Anything less than the truth is just another form of slavery and terrorism.

The self-willed, arrogant, left-wing media are trying to enslave us! It’s just another form of terrorism.

The more we see such hatred of the truth, the more we ought to see how precious truth is.

The problem is far deeper than the bbc or the left-wing media. It reflects a massive decadence in America and Britain. And that includes most people. This is the giant problem we are unwilling to face.

Words will not bring people out of this darkness. It will take a jolt like World War ii. That is the only reason Winston Churchill came to power. And if we don’t wake up, we are going to be hammered by a far worse World War iii to wake us up!
