NYT: China Keeps Russia’s War Machine Humming
With help from China, Russia continues to obtain sanctioned military components and technologies that empower it to keep up its brutal war against Ukraine, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
Partners in crime: China claims to be a neutral bystander in Russia’s war, but the Times investigated trade and corporate registries and found that more than 130 newly registered firms, overwhelmingly in China, openly advertise outlawed items for sale to Russia. These items include microchips used in cruise missiles and warplane components.
A related assessment by David O’Sullivan, the European Union’s sanctions special envoy, says China is now giving Russia some 80 percent of components used in its weapons production.
Hydrocarbons: China has also become Russia’s top oil purchaser, buying 21.5 percent of Russian crude last year. China also imports significant quantities of Russian natural gas and coal.
Kings of the east: Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 provoked heated controversy in the Western world. However, many Asian nations have remained supportive of Russia’s aggression, and China is chief among them.
This Asian alliance in support of Russia was prophesied. The Bible foretells of an end-time cohort of Asian nations that will forge an alliance against the West-dominated world order.
