Report: North Korea Illegally Sending Massive Arms Deliveries to Russia
In defiance of international sanctions, North Korea is continuing to send significant arms deliveries to Russia, according to a report by the Multilateral Sanctions Monitoring Team published Thursday.
The monitoring team, comprised of 11 United Nations members, was established in October 2024 to monitor violations and evasions of UN sanctions on Russia. Its first report on sanctions violations focused on military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
Arming the war machine: Russia relies heavily on North Korea to fuel its war against Ukraine. The arms provided by North Korea are critical for Russia’s ongoing war effort. It would likely be unable to continue its war without support from its allies.
Details: Key findings of the report include:
- Since September 2023, North Korea has delivered over 20,000 containers of ammunition and matériel to Russia.
- In 2024, Russia-flagged ships transported up to 9 million rounds of artillery shells and ammunition for rocket launchers from North Korea to Russia.
- North Korea sent at least 100 ballistic missiles to Russia in 2024.
The report also documents shipments of other heavy artillery, including anti-tank missiles, military vehicles, long-range, self-propelled artillery systems and other weapons.
Standing with Russia: The Bible prophesies of a coming colossal Asian alliance, headed by Russia and China. This conglomerate of Asian nations is forecast to be a key player in a catastrophic global conflict. That is why the Trumpet closely watches as various Asian nations stand in staunch support of Russia even as it wages a brutal war.
