Putin and Xi to Sign Deals in Moscow Summit
Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping is set to visit Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Russia, this week to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War ii and to further cement ties between the two nations.
The Kremlin said it would hold talks with Xi on “developing partnerships and strategic ties,” as well as “issues on the international and regional agenda.” The two are expected to sign a series of bilateral documents, Putin’s office said.
China is also seeking support to fight tariffs imposed by United States President Donald Trump.
Ukraine war: China has pretended to be neutral in the Russo-Ukrainian War, but Western nations say its close ties to Russia have been crucial for Moscow.
In April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said China has been giving weapons to Russia, and said at least 155 Chinese nationals were fighting alongside Russian forces.
“No limits”: Just days before Putin launched the full-scale war in 2022, Russia and China agreed to a “no limits” partnership. Since then, China has sent military equipment to Russia, imported large amounts of its crude oil, and conducted joint military exercises.
Asian alliance: The Trumpet has long watched for Russia and China to strengthen their alliance and work together with other Asian nations to form the largest army mankind has ever seen.
