China Weaponizing Isotope That Could Dramatically Worsen Nuclear War

The Chinese Academy of Sciences announced recently that state-backed researchers at a facility in Lanzhou had successfully fired superheated beams of Tantalum 181. Tantalum 181 is a radioactive isotope that could be added to nuclear warheads to increase their devastating fallout.

The future of nuclear warfare is becoming far more destructive.

China’s Military ‘More Than Just Catching Up’

China’s military is not on par with the United States military, but it is “catching up,” according to a recent report by the International Institute of Strategic Studies (iiss). In fact, “in some selected areas, our assessment is indeed that China is doing more than just catching up,” stated Bastian Giegerich, director of defense and military analysis at iiss.

China’s grand strategy in Asia primarily preys on America’s broken will, and the iiss report outlined the need for Western nations to continue beefing up their weapons and be “resistant to [Chinese] attempts to erode their cohesion and will in peacetime as well as war.”

Ethiopian Prime Minister Resigns Amid Worsening Ethnic Divisions

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn resigned on February 15, bringing an end to his troubled five-year term. But the resignation only adds to Ethiopia’s ongoing troubles. In an article titled “Ethiopia’s Unrest Invites Global Competition,” Geopolitical Futures wrote: “Iran … strives to have a strong presence in the region. Until recently, Iran was a patron of both Sudan and Somalia, but then Saudi Arabia paid each to switch sides and Iran lost its place. Ethiopia could be a replacement ….”

“So you need to watch … Ethiopia,” writes Trumpet editor in chief Gerald Flurry in Libya and Ethiopia in Prophecy. It is “about to fall under the heavy influence or control of Iran, the [biblically prophesied] king of the south.”

Germany’s Far-Right Party Now Second-Most Popular

The far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) is now the No. 2 party in Germany, according to a poll published on February 19 by Bild. The results show the AfD ahead of the left-wing Social Democratic Party (spd) for the first time ever.

The soaring popularity of the AfD shows that many Germans are rejecting mainstream parties and want their nation to go in a radical new direction. One way or another, the current political chaos will lead to the rise of a new strongman, as prophesied in Daniel 11.

The Truth About Russia’s Disinformation Campaign

On February 16, a grand jury indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian businesses on charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States. Twelve of the individuals work for Russia’s Internet Research Agency, which is a state-funded agency that tries to help Russian business online. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s indictment accused the Internet Research Agency of setting a “strategic goal to sow discord in the U.S. political system, including the 2016 presidential election.”

What is the truth behind such a disinformation campaign? What is Russia’s main agenda?
