It’s easy to hear the truth. God, however, says it’s not enough to just hear His Word—we have to act on it. “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves,” the Apostle James wrote. Hearing and not doing is one major way people deceive themselves. On this episode of the Trumpet Daily Radio Show, Stephen Flurry discusses how we can become doers of the Word and not hearers only.

What is Jesus Christ doing right now? The vast majority of traditional Christianity cannot answer this question. Or if they do, their answer isn’t based on the Bible. On this episode of the Trumpet Daily Radio Show, we explain Christ’s role as our Intercessor.

A new movie about Winston Churchill will be released before the anniversary of the D-Day invasion on June 6. One famous Churchill historian wrote that the movie depicts Churchill as a “petulant, ill-tempered, sarcastic, unpleasant, decrepit, oafish drunken has-been.” The movie is riddled with historical inaccuracies that undermine and degrade the legacy of one of Britain’s greatest leaders. On today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show, we conduct our first-ever movie review in order to uphold the reputation of the greatest Briton of all time.

The two-year-long divorce proceedings between Britain and the European Union kicked off yesterday. The process will be messy, expensive and fraught with tension, as Brussels will likely make an example out of the United Kingdom to discourage other member nations from also wanting to go it alone. Herbert W. Armstrong forecast back in 1956 that Britain’s relationship with Europe would end this way, well before they joined the Union in 1973. On today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show, we look back at Britain’s strenuous 44-year-long marriage with Europe and discuss what you can expect now that they are parting ways.

If you have a simple, single focus in life and you follow through and act on that focus, then your life will be full of light. You will see where you are going. The ability to focus is the difference between success and failure. On today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show, we discuss how to develop a proper focus and where it should be directed.

Last week, one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s critics “fell” out of a fourth-story window. Another was shot on the streets of Kiev—in broad daylight. Another thousand have been arrested in Moscow alone, as protests erupted across Russia. On today’s show, Trumpet contributing editor Richard Palmer examines why you should be concerned about the violence in Russia.

Germany is achieving exactly what it wanted, but failed at, in two world wars: control of Europe. Germany has deceptively abused the euro to position itself as Europe’s undisputed leader. In the 1990s, Germany coerced the United States-led nato into carrying out its will in Yugoslavia. As World War ii drew to a close, America and Britain pledged to keep Germany from ever becoming a military power again. However, in the past few decades, America and Britain have not only allowed Germany to rebuild its empire, but they helped Germany do it! For more on this subject and its importance in Bible prophecy, listen to today’s Trumpet Daily Radio Show.

Britain’s former deputy prime minister, Lord Michael Heseltine, said in a recent interview that Britain’s departure from the European Union gives Germany “the opportunity to win the peace.” Britain served as the one nation powerful enough to act as a counterbalance to Germany’s ambitions. Now that Britain is out, Germany will be left unchecked and in an unrestrained position to finally get the victory it lost in World War ii. Herbert W. Armstrong proclaimed that same warning almost word-for-word, but he said it when Lord Heseltine was 12 years old and Germany was in ruins! On today’s program, we discuss how Mr. Armstrong’s bold forecast from the 1940s is being fulfilled today.

The general mood in Britain following yesterday’s ghastly terrorist attack is that Britain needs to keep calm and carry on as normal. In today’s program, guest presenter Brad Macdonald shows that this sentiment is evidence of a destructive apathy. Instead of quickly moving on, Britain ought to be asking some soul-searching questions. Why did this attack happen? What is the cause? How can we prevent another? And, most importantly, why did God allow this to happen? Failing to take time to explore these questions will only guarantee more catastrophes.

The United States military has faced budget cuts and downsizing for decades. President Donald Trump has promised to reverse these trends and rebuild America’s military status to what it was in the 1980s. With an astronomical debt and a public addicted to government handouts, where will he get the money to increase military spending? On today’s radio show, we discuss where America’s spending habits are leading the nation, as well as other items in this week’s news.
