The German bomb

An advance organization of Berlin government policy is driving the public debate on any nuclear armament of the EU or the Federal Republic. This Wednesday, the Society for Security Policy (GSP, formerly Gesellschaft für Wehrkunde) is holding a high-caliber conference on “The Future of Nuclear Weapons in a World in Disruption”. Among the speakers, under the motto “Renaissance of nuclear strategies?” When discussing a “European perspective” on nuclear weapons, it is not just decisive advocates of their own EU nuclear forces that count, but also a retired professor of political science, who recently advocated the procurement of a “German bomb”. While to the withdrawal from the Non-Proliferation Treaty would be unavoidable, a co-financing of the French nuclear force in return against co-determination on their use, while maintaining the agreement, experts from the Scientific Services of the German Bundestag.
