Is it possible to worship Christ and do it in vain?

Though he met with the greats of the world from Asia to Africa to Europe and beyond, Herbert W. Armstrong’s greatest affection was for one tiny, new country at the heart of the world. He loved Israel, and Israel loved him back.

In his epistle, James addressed a serious problem that had developed within the first-century Church. Something happened in James’s day that caused the Church of God to fall into ruin. Yet, as bad as it was then, James’s epistle is primarily intended for our day.

Is there a promised time of peace and prosperity just around the corner? Will Jesus Christ return to this Earth to set up a world-ruling government? The truth about the Second Coming and the one thousand year reign of Jesus Christ is plainly explained in your Bible!

At the end of the book of Daniel, God admonishes His people to think about the number of days left before the return of Jesus Christ. That’s because we are, whether man accepts it or not, on a countdown to Jesus Christ’s return!

After being rejected in His hometown of Nazareth, Jesus then went and performed a great many miracles and mighty works around the Sea of Galilee and the ancient city of Capernaum. Later, Jesus reproved the people of Capernaum for hearing His message but not being humble and childlike enough to actually follow through. The very same problem is just as common in this world today.

Bias has always existed in journalism. But why, over the past generation, have so many Western media outlets swung so far to the left? Today’s program explains why major news organizations have taken such a radical turn to the left and why it’s so critical for us to stay grounded in the truth.

Here is what we can do to break through to God.

The Day of Atonement pictures a wonderful and great event that will soon take place after the Second Coming of Christ, when God will be at one with mankind. But this world is in total ignorance of this day because it has failed to see the true significance of God’s annual Sabbaths. This annual holy day should serve as a constant reminder of God’s plan of redemption!

Throughout his writings, the Apostle Paul often spoke of “the mystery of Christ.” Is it possible for us today to understand that mystery? The vast majority of the world today does not understand it, but it is plainly explained in the pages of your Bible.

After the death of King Solomon and the division of his kingdom, the Bible then speaks of Israel and Judah as two separate nations. Most people today are utterly unfamiliar with this critical history, even though it is clearly explained in the books of the Bible.

Many people today think religious life is purely a matter of giving up all the fun and enjoyment of living in order to please God. But did God intend for us to endure a life of denial and gloom? Christ said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” God’s way of life is a joyous life—the way of real abundant living!

After the death of Herbert W. Armstrong in January 1986, about 95 percent of the members of the church he founded ended up rejecting the truth of the Bible and turning away from God. They stopped doing God’s work—forgetting that it was for this very reason that they were called in the first place.

There is no substitute for a parent’s God-given authority at home.

God’s Word is flooded with promises you can claim! But how? What is the evidence that God will follow through with what He has promised?

Don’t let it become a vain repetition.

The Prophet Ezekiel wrote his book as a warning to Israel, but anciently, they had already been in captivity for over 100 years when the message was first delivered. Ezekiel’s message was actually intended for the end time. Concerning these latter days, Ezekiel wrote about a watchman who is prophesied to come on the scene shortly before the return of Jesus Christ.

When we see the hatred and savagery of this “present evil world,” as the Apostle Paul called it in Galatians 1, it should make the people of God cry out all the more earnestly, “Thy Kingdom come! Thy will be done in Earth, as it is in heaven.” Today we examine what it really means to pray, “Thy Kingdom come!”

Over the past two centuries, why has there been such a strong bond between America, the British people and the Jews in the Middle East? Few people realize that this unique and special relationship is actually rooted in the pages of Bible history. Today we examine the traditional brotherhood of the American, British and Jewish people.

After being struck blind and humbled by God on the road to Damascus, the Apostle Paul asked, “Who are you, Lord? And what will you have me to do?”—two beautiful questions that helped this zealous persecutor of God’s Church to turn his life around and to support God’s worldwide work.

One of the most inspiring Bible accounts is the work the Apostle Paul did while in captivity. Even while in prison, God used Paul to deliver the gospel message all the way up to the top tier of the Roman government. Today we go on location in Israel to discuss Paul’s tremendous labor from jail.

Overcoming despondency and negativity is something God will help us master.

The history of Germany reveals where the events in Europe today are leading. More importantly, God’s prophecies give us a preview of what is about to occur in Europe—and how it will affect the whole world. What can you do before it is too late?

Western commentators have called it an “Arab Spring.” The number-one state sponsor of terror calls it a great “Islamic Awakening.” So which is it? Today we examine the earthshaking events that have happened in the Middle East and North Africa just this year.

Paul’s exploits, trials and teachings are recorded in his writings and in the book of Acts. He was shipwrecked, thrown in jail, miraculously released from jail, stoned, and beaten with stripes on more than one occasion. Through it all, he remained bound by the spirit—determined to serve God and fulfill his commission, no matter what troubles were thrown his way. His life and writings give us insight into the history of fledgling Church that Jesus Christ started.
