Iran Holds Meeting on Conquest of Jerusalem

A week before Ramadan’s close, Iran hosted a conference focused on “promoting the ideas of the organization … of the Islamic Awakening … of Palestine and the Intifada,” as reported by Islamic Republic News Agency (August 12). The ultimate goal, said the report, was liberating Quds, the Arabic name for Jerusalem.

Tehran believes Jerusalem needs to be liberated. The government is promoting a radical takeover and slaughter of Israel. “Death to Israel” was chanted throughout Tehran on Quds Day, August 17. Iran’s Quds Day is meant to unite its followers the world over for the conquering of Jerusalem. The radical element of Islam is surfacing more and more worldwide. At the same time, Israel’s international queue of supporters continues to shrink.

The situation is more volatile when considering that, despite slaps on the wrist, Iran is gradually approaching its eureka moment—laying hold on nuclear-grade weaponry.

It’s no secret that Israel is weighing the collateral damage and fallout of an attack on the ever-aggressive Iran. Yet, even if Israel is surprisingly successful with a preemptive strike, it’s inevitable there would be undesirable side effects for Israel too—from Iran and its proxies, and potentially military action from others in the international community.

International public opinion has incessantly pummeled Israel, putting additional pressure on its political strategy.

For Israel, it’s a lose/lose situation. If it attacks Iran, it pays a great price in backlash. If it doesn’t attack, it faces a potentially fatal wound to the nation itself.

Look for Iran and radical Islam to continue attacking Israel, while simultaneously expanding its influence, to the alarm of Europe. Watch also for half of Jerusalem to be taken—a prophecy we have trumpeted for years.
