The Sickening Scale of Online Child Predation

Parents, wake up: The online world is more dangerous for our children than you realize. A warning from Britain’s crime-fighting agency should shock us into stricter action to protect them. Failing to do so is, frankly, sacrificing our children to evil forces.

[BRIEF]

• Graeme Biggar, head of Britain’s National Crime Agency, told the Daily Mail, “The online environment in its current form is not safe for children.”

His investigators flag up to 900 cases of suspected child sexual exploitation every day—an average of 400 daily, quadruple what it was just a few years ago. In 2022, they were processing a still-staggering 840 cases a week. By their estimates:

• Some 710,000 to 840,000 British adults, Biggar says, “pose some degree of sexual risk to children.”
• Referrals of child sexual abuse from online platforms to the nca reached 92,000 in 2025 alone.
• Officers arrest about 1,000 offenders and safeguard 1,200 children a month—and still can’t keep pace.

The Mail: “The reports include instances of child pornography and predators enticing children to carry out sexual acts or sending them obscene material. Other material flagged includes suspected sexual molestation and child sexual trafficking.”

• Every day, they deal with an average of 100 child abuse images on Snapchat and 75 on Instagram.
• Computer game platforms popular with children are surging with child abuse material. Roblox generates about 25 child abuse reports a day; Discord, about 50. How would you like to face such vile facts day after day?
• Biggar says, “And the referrals we are receiving are not only increasing in number but also in severity; they involve younger and younger children, and we are increasingly seeing children offending as well as being victims.”

America’s numbers are just as horrifying. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children logged 61.8 million exploitation-related files last year. fbi child-exploitation caseloads have grown 44 percent in three years.

• In 2025, ncmec received 21.3 million CyberTipline reports, driven by a surge in online enticement, financial sextortion and AI-generated abuse material. The data show a 323 percent increase in suspected child sex trafficking cases.

Parents are letting it happen. A 2025 Brigham Young University survey found 1 in 5 American parents enforce none of even the most basic safeguards on their children’s devices—no screen-time limit, no content filter, no restriction on who may contact them. Forty percent set no screen-time limit at all.

• Meanwhile, 1 in 4 American minors ages 9 to 17 now report having had a sexual interaction online, according to research group Thorn—including 1 in 6 children as young as 9 to 12.
• Nearly half had accessed the platform in question before they were even old enough to.

God is deeply angered by the abuse and exploitation of children! He expects parents and other authorities to protect the most defenseless among us. Predatory behavior rouses His wrath—as does parental negligence (“[A] child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame,” Proverbs 29:15 warns). In his powerful August 2023 article “Modern-Day Child Sacrifice,” Richard Palmer wrote,

In end-time prophecies, God compares such conduct with child sacrifice. He condemns “you who burn with lust among the oaks, under every green tree; who slay your children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks” (Isaiah 57:5; Revised Standard Version). …

There is no standing aside or being neutral in this fight. If you are not fighting for our children, then you are fighting against them—and against God.

These dangers to children vividly illustrate the depth of moral sickness in the modern-day descendants of biblical Israel. Technology is enabling children, left to themselves, to fall prey to truly depraved predators.

Governments can legislate age limits. Police can make arrests. Neither can raise a child. Parents must take personal responsibility. The scale of the problem is too massive, the dangers too grave to risk.

Poland Welcomes German Troops to Defend Against Russia

During World War ii, Russia and Germany brutally divided Poland. Since June, German soldiers have returned to Poland, this time to help build barricades against Russia. “The German sappers have done an excellent job,” Polish Gen. Stanislaw Czosnek said after inspecting the works on August 20, as quoted by Deutsche Welle on Friday.

This follows Poland’s government allowing the deployment of German fighter jets on its soil in August 2025 and March 2026.

This is a drastic change from Poland’s prior stance toward German soldiers on its territory.

• In 2014, the head of the then ruling Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said it would take “at least seven generations” before German soldiers on Polish soil would be acceptable.
• In 2022, the Polish government blocked the relocation of two German Patriot batteries to Poland.
• Even with the Law and Justice party no longer in power, Polish President Karol Nawrocki stopped Poland from accessing around $55 billion in European Union defense loans in March because of the potential benefit to German arms companies.

“East Shield”: Yet 40 personnel from the German Army’s Combat Engineering Unit have been deployed near Budry in Masuria, close to the Russian border, until October. They are helping construct the “East Shield” project, which includes fortifications and natural terrain obstacles designed to slow a Russian ground invasion.

Lukasz Jasinski, analyst at the Polish Institute for International Affairs, told Deutsche Welle:

Above all, the participation of German sappers has politically symbolic significance. Poland wants to convince Germany and other partners that Poland’s eastern border is also the external border of the EU and nato. Our Western partners should treat this border a bit like their own.

Donald Trump Vs. Canada

The U.S. imposed 50 percent tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods at midnight on Friday night, after trade talks between the two broke down. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has promised retaliatory tariffs that will match America’s “dollar for dollar.”

The breakdown in talks surprised many, because earlier in the week President Donald Trump had posted that the talks were going well.

Both sides accused the other of bringing up last-minute changes. The discussions and demands took place behind closed doors, so we don’t yet know exactly what went wrong.

• Canadians blame divisions between U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, saying Lutnick objected to concessions Greer had agreed to.
• Americans say Canadian negotiators brought up last-minute changes, particularly regarding tariffs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

Canada is drawing dangerously close to Europe. Economically and even militarily, it is looking to shift toward Germany, giving the EU a foothold in North America.

U.S. trade negotiators addressed this geopolitical danger by proposing a clause that would limit Canada’s ability to engage in “economic cooperation and security” agreements with third parties without U.S. permission. The UK agreed to a similar clause in its trade deal with the U.S.

In blowing up the trade deal completely, American negotiators may have pushed Canada into Europe’s embrace.

The $20 billion in tariffs invoke the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, infamous for the disastrous role it played in the Great Depression. Section 338 allows the president to impose additional tariffs of up to 50 percent if the target country discriminates against the U.S.

• Section 338 has never been used before, but Donald Trump shows he is willing to use this economic weapon, which he could turn against other powers. It will be challenged within U.S. courts, but that will take months to resolve.

Canada has put off any retaliatory action until September 8, leaving time for a deal to be worked out. But there is bad blood between the Canadian eras of Justin Trudeau–Mark Carney and the United States.

“Carney sees Canada’s economic dependency on the United States as a sickness,” we wrote in our August Philadelphia Trumpet issue. That dependency is so strong he may be forced to agree to some kind of deal, but Canada is turning toward a revived Holy Roman Empire to the detriment of its southern neighbor and brother nation.

Most Germans believe the chancellor won’t last his term, a new YouGov poll suggests. The August 14-17 survey of 2,091 eligible German voters found that 54 percent of respondents think Chancellor Friedrich Merz will resign before the next scheduled elections in 2029, and 18 percent of those believe he will resign before the end of the year.

The United States Postal Service announced new guidelines for mail-in ballots on Friday. The new policy, following a May executive order from President Donald Trump, gives states 60 days before the November 3 midterm elections to inform the usps if they intend to submit lists of voters per citizenship data. The Postal Service will only send out mail-in ballots or absentee ballots with that information. On August 12, Barack Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani issued a ruling to block President Trump’s executive order. The leadership of the usps, which is a federal agency reporting to the president, must now decide whether to mail ballots to people not recorded as citizens, which could produce an electoral and constitutional crisis.

Russia sabotaging European defense factories: Russian military intelligence agents are recruiting local gang members across Europe to attack weapons factories that contribute to Ukraine’s defenses, the Telegraph reported yesterday, citing Western intelligence agencies. An Italian munitions factory, an Estonian drone manufacturer, a Czech thermal optics firm, a Bulgarian ammunition plant and a Lithuanian scanner complex are among the facilities targeted so far.
