Merz visits Norwegian spaceport

On Friday, Merz visited Norway’s Andoya Spaceport, from which German startup Isar Aerospace plans to launch a rocket later this month. While there, the chancellor met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, who stated cooperation between the nations will “help Europe to achieve its goal of being at the forefront of the space industry.” Andoya Spaceport, as one of the few European sites that can facilitate rocket launches, will help Germany achieve its military goals in space.
