Punishing Israel for Hamas’s Crimes

The world is turning against the Jews for trying to defend themselves.

Ever since Hamas perpetrated the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust on Oct. 7, 2023, the corporate media has howled that Israel’s attack on Hamas in Gaza is causing “imminent” famine. Journalists have ignored the 66,000 trucks Israel has allowed into the area carrying more than 1 million tons of food and various other aid. Now they are ignoring the fact that Hamas is literally starving Jews.

Hamas recently released harrowing video footage of Rom Braslavski, a man who was taken hostage by Hamas during its demonic day of terror, torture, rape and mass murder. He looks as though he has lost half of his body weight—like a Holocaust victim. The next day, Hamas released footage of Evyatar David. In it, he too is emaciated—and he is inside a tunnel, digging his own grave.

There are about 50 such hostages in the tunnels of Gaza. Yet you rarely hear about these people, who are direct reminders of the satanic inhumanity of Hamas on October 7 and who are suffering Holocaust-like conditions. You frequently hear the allegation that Israel is causing a man-made famine.

Mainstream journalists and news executives are lying to you to target the Jews!

Israel is not starving anybody. Malnutrition among Palestinians exists because of Hamas. Hamas leaders have been horrendous rulers ever since they murdered their way into full control of Gaza. They destroyed basic infrastructure in the territory to make weapons. They massacred 1,200 people on October 7 and brought dozens of hostages back into Gaza. They use Gazans as their sometimes willing, sometimes unwilling human shields. They loot Israeli food cargoes, forcibly blocking them from reaching Gazans so they can sell them and buy weapons. Hamas is believed to have stolen more than $1 billion worth of aid. It is the real culprit, starving its own people as well as Jewish hostages. (Several of Hamas’s top leaders are wealthy, perhaps even billionaires: They live outside of Gaza.)

Hamas has been abusing and starving Israeli hostages for almost two years now. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering occupying Gaza to save them and to prevent such horrors in the future. His rivals, both domestic and abroad, oppose this plan. They want to punish Israel for Hamas’s crimes!

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and many others are now calling for a Palestinian state. Does that make any sense? What kind of person sees terrorists massacring civilians and starving hostages and thinks the solution is to give them a state?

These people are motivating Hamas to continue starving hostages and forcing them to dig their own graves.

The State of Israel is the only functioning Western democracy in the Middle East, yet so-called democratic leaders want to dismember it by giving land to Islamic terrorists who starve people in tunnels for their own amusement. This is demonic thinking. It is not about protecting the innocent. It is about tearing down Western civilization.

“It’s no accident that these images were released just days after Britain’s prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer, announced that the [United Kingdom] would recognize a state of Palestine unless the Israelis ceased fire in Gaza,” wrote Melanie Phillips on August 3. “Along with French president Emanuel Macron and Canada’s prime minister Mark Carney, who have also declared they will recognize ‘Palestine,’ Starmer thus put rocket fuel behind the lie that Israel is starving the people of Gaza to death and that Israel, not Hamas, is to blame for Gaza’s plight. This lie has been assiduously spread throughout the West by Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Palestinian Authority, which has been promoting for decades the monstrous claim that the Israelis are Nazis bent on genocide—a stupendous inversion aimed to conceal the PA’s own Nazi roots.”

Hamas took over the Gaza Strip in a 2006 election, threw fellow Palestinians from the rival party off rooftops in 2007, and has held zero elections in the past 20 years. It is a tyrannical Islamist fundamentalist group that exists to kill Jews. Yet the radical left supports it because it hates the biblical precepts that produce the rule of law; individual freedom and accountability; limited government; stable families; freedom of religion, speech and property; and other principles that trace back to the law given to the Jews and the other Israelites at Mount Sinai.

Shockingly, even elements of the “Make America Great Again” movement are turning against the Jews and the principles of Western civilization. Tucker Carlson in particular is attacking Netanyahu and supporting the Islamic extremists in Hamas. If he can split the MAGA movement, then Hamas’s chances of victory against Israel will be amplified. This is evidence of just how far barbarism has penetrated into American society.

In my 2024 article “The Sickness in American Universities,” I quoted Peter Wood, president of the National Association of Scholars, who said: “American higher education at least since the late 1960s has been disenchanted with Western civilization. … The slow elimination of honor, respect and admiration for those who founded our nation and who in later generations built on those foundations gave way to a new aspiration of liberating ourselves from every stricture of traditional culture and inventing something uninhibited and new—and almost always filled with anger toward what came before and what continued to stand in the way. … This is fertile soil for anti-Semitism, an ideology that is always ready to turn vague dissatisfaction into directed anger, even to the point of murderous rage” (tomklingenstein.com, Oct. 30, 2023).

This murderous rage infected the Democratic Party in the 1960s and is moving into the Republican Party today. An end-time prophecy in Isaiah 9:21 says: “Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.”

For years, the Philadelphia Trumpet and its predecessor, the Plain Truth, have taught that Manasseh and Ephraim are the United States and Britain. Men like Tucker Carlson, Kier Starmer and Mark Carney are taking the side of Hamas, even with its horrific terrorism and murder in recent memory—and continuing literally as you read this. They are a stark fulfillment of this prophecy. President Trump has remained Israel’s ally, but even his support is getting shaky as he and his envoy Steve Witkoff cede ground to the Carlson wing of the party. Prophecies like Amos 7:12 indicate that even President Trump will turn against Judah in the end. The world is indeed entering a dark time.
