Russia Advances Into East Ukrainian City

Russian forces have taken control of the east Ukrainian city Shevchenko, said the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday.

Footage of the advance published by the Defense Ministry shows damage to the village caused by drone attacks and artillery explosions. Numerous buildings were targeted, some of which appear to be residential.

  • Shevchenko is near one of the largest lithium deposits in Europe, which has also reportedly fallen under Russian control.

Rare minerals: Russian President Vladimir Putin could leverage control of this crucial deposit against the West, jeopardizing the rare earth mineral deal being negotiated between Ukraine and the United States.

Peace? Despite Russia’s increasing attacks on Ukrainian civilians, U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his belief that Putin wants to negotiate an end to the war during a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy on the sidelines of Wednesday’s nato summit.

Russian strongman: The Bible prophesies of an aggressive Russian strongman who will expand Russian territory and assert dominance over other nations.

Russia’s advance into Shevchenko is another clear signal that Putin is not finished with war.
