145 People Stabbed With Syringes at Music Festivals Across France

Police have detained 12 suspects after 145 people reported being stabbed with syringes at street music festivals held across France on Saturday.

  • The victims of these widespread attacks were predominantly female minors.

The French Interior Ministry has not yet disclosed what substance the syringes contained, but it reported that some victims have been taken to hospitals for toxicology tests. Several victims reported feeling ill after the attacks.

A call for syringe assaults was made on social media during the music festival, said François Grosdidier, mayor of Metz, where approximately 15 of the attacks took place.

Pattern of violence: This is not the first attack of its kind. In 2022, over 1,000 complaints were made across France of individuals being pricked with syringes in locations such as bars and theaters.

Eruption of chaos: These syringe attacks were not the only unrest on the streets.

  • More than 370 individuals were detained nationwide on other charges.
  • 14 festival participants were seriously injured, including a 17-year-old who was hospitalized for stab wounds.
  • 13 law enforcement officers were injured.

As violence and unrest worsen across the Continent, Europeans will look for strong leaders to restore law and order. The Bible prophesies Europe will soon unite under a German strongman to regain stability.
