Japan and India Deepen Defense Cooperation

Japan and India agreed to establish a new defense cooperation consultation body, the two countries’ defense chiefs announced on Monday.

Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani and Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh met in New Delhi on Monday to discuss deepening military cooperation that would “generate significant synergies.”

  • Equipment and technology, joint military drills, training exercises and artificial intelligence were all areas for cooperation that were discussed.

Tensions: Global tensions are soaring, and the United States’ historic Asian allies are finding the U.S. to be an increasingly unreliable and unpredictable partner. Japan and India, fearful of China’s increasing belligerence in the Indo-Pacific region, are making strides to unify, readying themselves for any potential conflict.

Kings of the east: Although this increased cooperation between Japan and India is largely a reaction to China’s growing aggression, Bible prophecy foretells that they will soon be fighting alongside China. The Bible refers to this alliance as “the kings of the east.” It will be led by Russia and China, and will include Japan and India.
