German Firm Rheinmetall Expecting Boom in Weapons Sales
The planned dramatic surge in European defense spending could provide German manufacturing company Rheinmetall with an unprecedented boom in business, ceo Armin Papperger told German newspaper Handelsblatt on Thursday.
- Rheinmetall has vocalized its interest in converting parts of its civilian automobile production to military production. The company is now expanding many of its factories to cope with the wave of orders.
“We see order potential of up to €300 billion by 2030,” Papperger said. He expects these orders to start coming in shortly.
Papperger added that he was in contact with the board members of Volkswagen, another automotive manufacturer hoping to move toward defense production, to negotiate Rheinmetall taking over Volkswagen plants.
Troubled past: Several German industrial giants, such as Rheinmetall and Volkswagen, have a documented history of arming Nazi Germany in the Second World War.
Warned: Herbert W. Armstrong warned for decades that what may currently look like German industrialists improving their businesses will take a dire turn for the worst. Mr. Armstrong proclaimed the Bible prophesies that these companies will be a key part of rearming the German war machine, leading to terrible war and destruction.
